This is truly a great day with the news that we will finally be able to play the game as Horde, I stopped playing TBC because I was unable to sit at my desk for over an hour waiting for the queue to pop and enter a battleground and PVP is my main reason to play TBC.
I was one of the first people to come to the forums to highlight the issue and was met with large support from fellow Horde players but resistance from a small vocal minority of the Alliance gloating over the fact that Horde players couldn’t even play and telling me that I had a I quote “Selfish Horde Mentality” because I wanted something like mercenary mode which would allow everyone to actually be able to play the game regardless of faction. It will have 0 impact on current alliance players expierience of the game as there will be no mercenary mode to complain of.
This is a great day for 75% of the playerbase who happen to be Horde, I’m sure most of us chose the faction because our friends were here or we had memories from 16 years ago playing Horde as was my case and now we can actually play. Thank You Blizzard for hearing us at last, we have achieved victory in the face of annihilation. Well done to every Horde player that took to the forums to achieve this fair decision! Lok’Tar Ogar!

Why exactly wouldn’t it affect alliance players exactly?
A few alliance guilds are rerolling to horde now.(3-5 on my realm alone)
That is alone 100-150 players + more people would likely reroll.
No benefit to playing alliance now after all.
Then they are guilty of the very thing they accused all horde players of, min-maxing. They are going to spend at least 2 months getting to 70 and re-gearing because of BG queues being lowered for horde and they made the unanimous decision to do so as an entire guild within 3 hours of the announcement, highly unlikely.
Well, horde have 1700+ more players than the alliance / dominate the world + farming spots etc.
It’s faster rerolling a horde character and using their stronger racials for arena than to remain in a decaying faction.
Doesn’t take 2 months getting to 70 though, it takes £35 and a new subscription to hit 58 instantly.
You will actually see less horde players out in the world now because we will be enjoy being able to actually play legitimate PVP in battlegrounds and not break the boredom of the queue by ganking meeting stones and farming spots.
As you say most people are Horde, they have a duty to the majority of their customers who had a section of the game that was totally unplayable to them.
Yeah I’m sure everyone in those guilds will just immediately decide to drop the £35 for a horde boost within 3 hours of the announcement and abandon the hundreds of hours they invested into their alliance characters, let’s face it you don’t know who is rerolling and just made it up for dramatic effect.
Now if only they cared about the 25% that play alliance back in phase 2 of classic, which caused (and the aftermath still causes) entire servers to die.
Ok will you now campaign to give PvE players a tool to solve tanking problems? Or a balanced and fair economy? Perhaps even tell your faction friends to stop griefing? Maybe call for the Alliance players to get the same treatment as the Horde players get? Aka when we have a problem for Blizzard to change the game for us? No you won’t you little hypocrite.
You see now that you got what you wanted you and the rest of the people like you will get back to doing whatever you want to do without a second thought of what’s happening to the players around you.
All the economies are crazy, go roll on a different server (which you have the ability to with xfer) if you’d like this

Finally I escape the shackles of Themara, I can queue battlegrounds just like I wanted without having to read your negative brainless comments that have a 50% to include the word brat or hypocrite, please reconsider how you spend your life
Go use the LFG addon or since this game is built around being social why don’t you /who and message some classes that are able to tank?
