Lol duos in blitz

When you’re not duoing as a healer - you are griefing your team. The enemy will get half-premade, your team gets 8 randoms. Most people at elite level do it not with friends or for fun, but for a huge advantage.
Can you still win? Yes. Are you on AVERAGE at a disadvantage - yes

Fair, but, I don’t speak for them, if they want to climb above 3k with their partners, they are free to do so, in the meantime I intend to push solo and test my limits, if I can hit 3k or around it alone, then anyone can do so, if I don’t then I just need to get better at the game.

Achievable but much, much more difficult. It’s like saying ‘Gladiator is achievable for anybody!’ Yes, it is. But it is much easier for a Shadow Priest to get Gladiator playing with a Feral Druid and a Holy Paladin than it is playing with an Arms Warrior and a Resto Shaman. Duo queues, when used properly, can guarantee the 2 strongest classes every single game. Like the other guy said, if you aren’t duoing, you’re playing at a disadvantage.

There’s a difference between RNG’ing and just firming the unbalanced matchup and then just saying ‘win some, lose some’, and people playing duos in a bracket titled ‘SOLO’ playing the best duo in the game, building a synergy, and perma guaranteeing 1) the best dps class in BGs and 2) the best healer in BGs. Again, if your team, or the enemy team, is not doing the same, then you’re heavily disadvantaged.

It’s just an example, literally any Rogue who knows how to rotate their DR’s can do the same and is at a greater advantage.

I played a 3100 MMR flag cap game with a Disc Priest and a Holy Priest, 2 Fury Warriors, an Arms Warrior, a SV Hunter, a Frost Mage and me. Enemy team had a MW, a Pres, An UH Dk, a Sub Rogue and I can’t remember the others. How is this NOT an instant loss?

Classic character.

Odd that you had many warriors considering that blizzard intended to balance class-stacking but I guess variables occurs for some reason, and does not sound like a great game to be in.

I feel like to tackle this, blizzard should implement a weekly map pools “of the week” so people can condition themselves for upcoming games. (MAYBE?)

But in that game you were in, your team had to have many defenders and have 2-3 players on offense constantly and rest defend, but again people have to either agree to follow your instructions or the whole team has to agree to changing the tactics. Certainly not an easy one due to the excessive amount of melees.

Also putting to account the MW teleportation having one guy at flag room and other roof which requires initiative from whoever is attacking and be quick to react.

You can have 6 people of the same class in the same lobby, 5 rogues / hunters / warlocks / priests is not that unusual for example. Disc/holy and 1 SP in each. Technically all different specs, in reality 6 priests

Yeah, but then this “update” was pointless. We had shorter queue previously due to class comp imbalances, blizz “fixed” so called issues with longer queues and almost similar results. :grimacing:

the best part is that these FOTM classes were FOTM for a reason. you’re not going to convince a FOTMer to log off their MW monk and log onto a hpriest just because faster queues - so essentially all you’ve done is just double-triple-quintuple queue times for healers for zero reason and the same goes for DPS.

personally I haven’t played any games in the past 2 weeks on any of my characters because before the patch queues with a healer were 1-4 minutes and now they’re 6-12 minutes and there is zero difference in match quality. I was planning on queueing and grinding out 2400 for another tabard but after realising I’d be sitting around 50 games @ 10 minutes per queue, i just said nah. not spending 8 hours of my life standing in a queue.

I then thought “I can at least just do 1800 sets” but even low MMR games sub 2400 MMR have long queue times. the people who complained about this mode in the first month absolutely killed it. its a real shame. endless whining about MMR hell and unfair matches, bet they’re having fun and success now, surely!

People get so hung up on ‘unwinnable games’ that they’d rather suffocate the game mode to death with queue times rather than just accept the fact that you can’t win every game in a competitive mode with like 36 available specs and hundreds of millions of possible comps.

That’s not what’s annoying. What’s annoying is that the queue times are now as much as up to 6x longer than they were because Blizzard wanted to ‘prioritise higher quality match making’ (with regards to specialisation matchups) which should ‘have minimal impact on queue times’.

I could accept your point if I was sitting a 5 minute queue and out 10 minutes later. I’m not. I’m sitting 30+ minute queues and often playing full duration games. 45+ minutes gone heavily because this supposed ‘higher quality matchmaking’ doesn’t exist, compared to 20 minutes for the exact same issue.

Yeah i agree and i’m saying the same thing. Just ranting incoherently. I will always take instant healer queues and 5 minute DPS queues with ‘low quality’ matches over 20 minute queues for ‘better’ quality matches, which as you say isn’t even noticeably different.

Which didn’t work out at all.

Even at 1900 you’re still playing with clueless trash players. And the queues are 5 times as long.

DF’s blitz was much better.

This.

I would rather not have rating attached to this mode if the experience was better, like in DF. I still preferred normal BGs but the Conquest reward was better for Blitz. Plus we got 2 weeklies for even more Conquest. Now it’s just a hot mess.

blitz is trash

Yeah, that’s another problem. Getting conquest takes way too long.

Do a few rounds of 2s and 3s on low rating. If you aren’t going for gladiator, you don’t need to pay attention to rating. Fastest way to get conquest. Open a group in lfg, call it conquest farm, invite some players with semi-decent gear and start blasting.

I was banned for 3 weeks in october and more than 2k behind on conquest. It took me 2 hours of farming gear to catch up.
With an average win / loss rate of 50% at low rating you should get something like 900 conquest / hour.

what did i do :S

Well, boosting is mostly bought for gold and gold is mostly created by wow tokens, which are zero effort money for blizz. So yea, fixing boosting would cost blizzard a lot of money. They dont give a flying f about having a good game. They just need to cash everything they can from what the old blizzard created.

Remember when Blizzard had passion? I don’t, been so long.

Blitz should be removed tbh. I constantly see far better and far more intelligent players in random bgs.

I only know that there are people up there who, without playing duos, would not be where they are

Boosting for real currency is the rot!!
