Long BG que solution

Give the alliance a 100% xp bonus for 1 month.

That would make it possible to reroll quite fast if you are a horde player struggling with the long ques.

Guaranteed that would fix nothing.

100% Xp Bonus still means people need to put in ~5-7 days played to get to 70. On a new Faction. Where you have no resources. Very very few people are going to go for that.

Even if you offer a straight up faction change hardly anyone will.

Well, if the horde players dont wanna put in any effort, then its hard to make solution.

I have taken my time on my alliance shaman, no guides or anything, knew no one on the server and had 0 gold.

I’m exacly 4 days in /played lvl 49, soon 50.

Xp bonus would reduce travel time alot aswell, 2 days played and you should easely be in outland questing. If you are a few ppl in a guild rerolling together it would be even faster.

A month should be more than enough to get you close to 70, it’s all about how mich effort you wanna put in.

In the end, I think Blizzard will introduce faction transfers if anything. You will transfer your char to Alliance to earn honor and then transfer it back to horde for better racials. Why? Well they can earn a boatload of money by doing that.

Not sure how they could do that when you can only have one faction on PvP realms. They’d have to either remove the limit or require all characters on the realm to change faction.

of those two, removing the limit is more likely.

Just have mercenary que so the horde can flag for alliance que and vice versa, that would resolve and balance out the que times.

I see no reason why this shouldn’t be implemented now given PVP ranking system is no longer a thing in TBC

Because that doesn’t actually solve the real problem, which is the faction imbalance

Lets be honest, not many things would resolve the faction imbalance now and this would resolve the title of this post “long BG Que solution” until WOTLK when you can faction transfer

We are talking about long queues now, not faction imbalance. They cannot solve faction imbalance before TBC ERA is already over. Then it’s TOO LATE!

I am pretty sure if it was THIS bad back in the day, Blizzard would have offered a solution. Stop arguing this.

Long queues are caused by faction imbalance

Of course they can

Probably, and I want them to find a solution too, I just don’t want it to be a lazy band-aid fix that doesn’t actually do anything to help fix the real problem

How can they fix this in a timely manner? I’m curious.

I mean the mercenary que does resolve the que times and then when wotlk comes around you can faction transfer then do it.

No, they are caused by alliance carebears not engaging in pvp.

I am pretty sure that if they would guve gnones racial +50% dmg dealt and -50% dmg taken there wouldnt be horde overpopulation for long (just an example, not a real proposed change)

If you truly think that then you are delusional

I don’t think that, I played alliance and I know this for a fact.

Well, i guess the pve faction then always has less people at dungs and raids, weird huh? And even has less raiders, weird huh? The pve faction having less raiders? Now imagine pvp

Incentivize players to play alliance, and give horde players a way to play alliance without losing too much of their progress

The simplest and most obvious solution would be to buff/nerf racials until players feel that it is actually beneficial for them to play alliance over horde, and enable faction change, though I’m sure there are more elegant ways of doing it, but I’m not a game designer

Only blizzard has the numbers to actually tell whether this is true or not

Or maybe people can stop min maxing. I mean a lot of players go horde because they’re simply better in terms of power, cc reduction etc… but if they really cared that much about que times they would ignore the minor power increase and play alliance. but instead they pick horde knowing this would happen and then moan about it.

I’ve got a horde warrior and an alliance paladin and don’t care for the minor increase i get from my orc, i’d rather be able to play PVP when i want without having to que 30 minutes.

Personal preference maybe…
