Long forgotten hippogryph curiosity

Hi, this is definitely an unusual question, but as a crystal hunter who occasionally finds this mount as a hobby, I was wondering if there was any way to know beforehand if a player would be interested in this mount or not?

In 2018 I used to do this a lot more often, now I’m also busy with other stuff in wow, but when occasionally I find some time for that, finding the crystals is nice, but then asking people and not getting answers or having people think I’m selling, or ending up with most people not wanting it (the latter of which is absolutely fair, just explaining it from my POV) is absolutely unpleasant, often taking more time than actually finding the crystals themselves.

Asking in trade has its own drawbacks, such as the presence of huge boost spam or maybe even being reported if people assume I’m selling.

Obviously the mount has been out for a few years now, wowhead says about 1\5 of the players has it, so while the majority still misses it, we could’ve reached a point where those that don’t have it just don’t care and the ones who want it and don’t have it yet are few and far between.

So in conclusion, do you think there’s a better way to find people who want it than asking them directly, and if so which?

Have you tried the mount collecting discords? Most of them have systems of pinging when someone has a tag/mount/spawn up for grabs.

For example:-

Is there something like that for tmog?

There used to be a transmog discord but I am not sure if it still exists, I can’t find it anymore.

there is a discord channel where people share mounts called lord in reins or something - i used it to do soundless in bfa then deleted discord after

Ah, right, no, haven’t tried that, guess that could be a possibility.

For anyone interested in obtaining the mount, try doing it while leveling an alt in chromy time, due to the phasing the crystals are pretty much always up.

Yes, I also noticed they’re up relatively often when not in chromie mode, which reinforces my theory that almost everyone who wanted it got it, cause in the past you kinda had to use small crz realms to reduce competition, unlike now.
