So this feature got introduced agesssss agoooo… how many people actually use it? I never do. To be honest, completely forgot about it until i saw a wowhead post pop up on about void bound items for trading post.
Personally, I think the bank could integrate it and maybe even convert it to expansion based reagents like GW2 (after all, they are somewhat copying them).
Any thoughts or suggestions on what blizz could do?

I never use it either. It’s just one of the things I unlock on new characters out of habit.
Well, I use it. All my old leggos went there in addition to some rare collectable and parts of my unfinished Timewalking set which I only begin to farm closer to the end of expansions. But it’s just an extra storage, what do you want to do anything with it?

I have filled one tab of void storage and can’t remember how far into the second I am. I use it for all my old legendaries and items I keep but need the bankspace
i barely use it, just purely cause its not part of the bank interface most use when in current expansions etc… i think i would if it was in all honesty.
I think I may have used it a very long time ago, when it was introduced into the game. But then I never touched it again.
It’s a bit of a useless system.
This, I don’t think I’ve used it since it was introduced.
I have no idea what’s in mine … I think it was old unobtainable stuff which was useless but I didn’t want to get rid of. I can’t even remember how to get into it. I remember it was something to do with mages.
It’s not meant as a regular bank tab though that can be accessed constantly and for free, it’s long term storage.
I understand what you’re saying but I think it’s to avoid that confusion, it’s separate. It costs to use void storage, it’s really meant as a place you can dump things that you aren’t likely to want to use but don’t want to get rid of.
I have a fabulous collection, as you can see…
ok but it can still be used as part of the current bank interface? people will have access to more storage at whatever bank they visit? Plus it would make sense with NPCS from taveesh etc… No reason why that can’t happen.
I think some systems could be updated and this surely has to be one of them. It is in a pointless location in some respects
Every MMO copies each other, like, tf…
Erm, maybe I’m missing something here but I thought we no longer needed void storage now that we have transmog.
All gear we loot and equip is accessible that way now, surely? So why keep the old gear when you can just vendor it for gold. You can then transmog the look you want anyway.
Nobody can claim you shouldn’t be showing it as you’d have to have owned it in the first place to unlock it.
I think it’s for the same reason we don’t get to see guild banks from the same NPC, it is too easy to confuse.
I’m not sure why you think it’s transmog related.
I use it, but not on all characters; mostly for stuff that is no longer obtainable or have some nostalgic value.

i thought it was transmog related in all fairness… and in regards to guild banks, thats fair enough… Void storage is more to each of your characters

I use it at the end of each expansions to fill with old gear that I have acquired that I don’t want to vendor and I don’t want taking up my bank space… Like legendaries, or set pieces or cool transmog items.
It’s no supposed to be an extra bank, it’s supposed to be long term storage that you are not using every other day.

It’s mostly used for memorabilia, but you can generally put there stuff you don’t want to delete or simply can’t (Ashjra’kamas) but don’t use often. I wish artifacts could go there but they don’t qualify.
I store old legendaries there.
