I’m looking for advices.
I want to roll a new character for mainly roaming in low level zones for farming. The criteria are simple: being able to spam instant direct damage spells from range and being fast. If those spells are AoE, even better.
I already have a hunter which does that very well. Which character would you advice me? (class, spec, spell you’d recommand)

Just make a lvl 10 holy priest. Kill and heal with one spell thats aoe. Throw on gems for speed.
BM hunter or Warlock with wither spec.
Shaman is pretty easy for this kind of this.
I really liked Shaman for running old raids like Dragon Soul (where instant cast was handy for doing spine dance).
Ghost Wolf for moving faster.
Frost Shock is insta-cast spammable spell.
Chain Lightning is good AoE for clearing larger packs.
Fewer procs and stuff flying around that you can’t control when you need to target specific mobs.
Disc priest with holy nova at low level is good.
Botting you say…
Balance druid or frost mage maybe.
so basically from most of the replies, any class will do…
how is this botting ?
Druid can spam Moonfire to their hearts content with no cooldown, great for low level farming
Resto shaman and spam chain lightning only… it’s crazy good
Yes but it’s not instant as the OP wanted…unfortunately
Hunter. always hunter
barrage and multi shot, with 40% movement speed form aspects and trailblazer
and then get speed gear or enchants that increase speed
pets can be set to auto attack nearby mobs too
What do low level farm bots do - press one button repeatedly.
Another vote for a priest. Holy nova is really handy for low level content/old raid dungeon farming.
