Looking for a lil help on a macro

I didnt think it was anything fancy, im about to start Shadow Priest.

As my Vampiric Touch now applies SWPain i just want 1 slot on my action bar, and when i hold shift, it swaps from VT to SWP

#showtooltip
/cast [mod:shift] Shadow Word: Pain;Vampiric Touch

i used the above and when i press down shift, it does change the tooltip to SWP but i play with my action bar assigned to buttons on my mouse and it wont let me click the relevant button to cast, i have to physically move my mouse and click on the action bar to cast it, Any ideas?

The cleanest solution I found is to bind modifier keys directly to the action bar slots instead of into macros. It also makes it easier to modify if needed.

Keybinds take priority over macro modifiers. By default SHIFT 1-6 are bound to Action Page 1-6. You’ll need to unbind any conflicts to use modifiers on those keys.
