Looking For Group tool

Hey all,
Asking for at friend.
Does the new LFG tool in BCC work? Does ppl use it or not?

Maybe 6 persons from 2000 use it. Its a waste of time honestly. Its better to spam the LFG chat.

It only shows what people are looking for a dungeon, it doesnt automatically form the groups.

Nobody wants an LFG tool from wrath+ which automatically forms groups in TBC.

What people are asking for is the beautiful LFG tool from retail, where you can clearly and easily see a list of all groups.

The current tool is a pile of garbage and not intuitive at all. People don’t use it because there are addons like LFG Bulletin Tool which are vastly superior.

Idk what Blizzard was thinking when implementing this garbo. Everyone was expecting the retail LFG tool when they promised " an improved version of TBC LFG tool". Nothing was improved it’s literally the same tool from 2007 and it suckssss hard. Nobody in my guild likes or uses it.

Thank god Blizzard changed the Concubines and Mistresses in Karazhan though, it seems like the important things are getting taken care of… /sarcasm off

Speak for yourself. I want Wotlk LFG tool so that people on dead servers also can do dungeons.

Not everyone plays on full servers with groups just waiting for you to whisper them to join. It can take days to do just 1 dungeon on some servers.

I want LFD tool from Wrath.

But as for the topic, yes the TBC LFG tool Blizzard implemented is the same useless one form original TBC. Nobody used it then and nobody uses it now. The ā€œimprovedā€ part was simply a lie. A par for course for Blizzard these days. Bald faced lying.

I actually see people using the current LFG all the time. You are massively exageratting saying ā€˜no-one uses it’. Last night for example there were 8 different people at one point queued for Blackrock depths. The current tool is fine, it has got me groups several times now. The only problem with it is some people don’t seem to understand how to use it properly - they queue themselves as ā€˜looking’ but don’t click the tab on the bottom to see who else is.

On the other hand spamming trade or LFG is a complete waste of time.

The BEST way to get a group for a low level dungeon is type /who 20-24 or whatever the level range is and whisper everyone, as well as use the LFG tool and bulliten add on. I personally use no add-ons at all in WoW yet can still usually get a group for any dungeon, even ones everyone hates like Gnomeregan, in ten minutes. Only time I wouldn’t get it so quick is at like 4 am in the morning. It is easy to get a group, you just have to make an effort and be proactive.

We DO NOT WANT a wotlk style dungeon finder that automatically puts you in groups. That, and LFR, are two of the biggest factors that contributed to the ā€˜death’ of wow. My happiest memories in WoW was making a guild with people I met whilst leveling and did dungeons with and added to friends. That guild never would’ve happened had dungeon finder been about.

I would absolutly love it if if ever there was a MoP classic for example LFR was removed, I absolutly HATE LFR.

We DO WANT a wotlk style dungeon finder that automatically puts you in groups.

Also you are on Firemaw, one of the biggest servers, if not the biggest. I actually just went and checked now. YOU play on the largest alliance population server in the world. Your opinions about difficulty of forming groups are irrelevant. Try making a group for anything, levelling, end game, heroic on any medium or low server.

Well that is your fault for choosing a low population realm, what did you expect? You got what you asked for. I picked firemaw/a high pop realm specifically to have an easier time making groups. If it is that bad then transfer.

But do you not realize most people are NOT on Firemaw? Most players have trouble making groups, or can not do it at all. You are a minority. We absolutely NEED a WotLK dungeon finder.

Also I chose Zandalar Tribe on August 14, 2019, about 30 sec after name reservations opened, as one of the 4 servers available. Literally nobody knew back then. Why, I had short queues on login for first 2 weeks of Classic.

Transfer to a higher population realm. You are on a low one and complaining about there being a low number of people to group with. If for some reason you want to stay on a low one because there are things you like about a low population, then it sounds like you want to have your cake and eat it. Don’t ruin it for everyone else because you don’t want to transfer.

I’m leveling a rogue at the moment, it’s 49 right now, and I have about 10 people on my friends list I’ve met and group with who I wouldn’t have if dungeon finder was a thing.

So that is your solution? Everyone pay Blizzard however many transfer fees per number of alts and we all play on Firemaw and all Horde on Gnomelagg? With 10+ layers each. Nice plan.

I added everyone I did a levelling dungeon with back in Classic. And I did them all, some more than once. And maybe half of people from end game dungeons. Over a 100 people. You know how many of them log in now? 1. One.

This game is dying, and those who didn’t quit outright are raid-logging. Nothing wrong with that, but we NEED a cross realm LFD.

Cross realm LFD tool is a horrible idea:

-People will start instaleaving, once someone fails
-People will not talk a single word to eachother and no friendships will be formed
-No incentive to be nice or to help someone or teach someone (if you have to make grp yourself you are invested and it’s much more likely).

It is a HORRENDOUS idea and would absolutely KILL KILL KILL the spirit of TBC.

I am playing on (GER) Dragon’s Call Horde and its a small-med pop server. Forming a group can take some time but if you know how to do it it is easy… type /who warrior and start whispering people for a tank etc etc.

I don’t like that my server is kinda dead. I didn’t know or choose my fate, when i created my character on release night of classic WoW, that it would end up like this. Nevertheless, a LFD tool will never be implemented into TBCC and thats a great thing. No need to kill the community aspect of the game even more.

A paid transfer is the only solution. Of course, Blizzard should try addressing the problem of dead servers and merge them or idk… but they care as much about TBCC as I care about a sack of rice falling over in China.

Sucks for you to be playing on an even lower pop server than me but dude cmon… you chose an RP server in 2k21 and you wonder why you have noone to play with?

ā€œIts your fault because you chose wrongā€

I chose a full server yet its 80% alliance playing here.
I guess its still my fault that all Normal servers are 80% alliance dominated.
