Well some people dont like it but i think you can start with icy veins guide for 8.2
Ele is hella fun i like it. Resto is lacking in pvp but probably still viable in pve.
Ele is quite good at kiting, lots of distruptive abilities and can output pretty good dmg. I like to gather lots of enemies summon earth ele and aoe them down, or kite 2-3 enemies at a time flame shock on them and instant lava bolts or frost shocks on the move.
Restro has quite good cooldowns for healing with reletavily short cd’s so im always poping them and you can stand there like a turret whilst out questing as not many things will kill you with a healing stream and healing rain up, lighing bolt and lava blast hit pretty hard as restro, plus animations for water looks so cool
