Loosing combo points when you change your target

I think in Vanilla, if you had combo points on a target, those combo points stayed on the target until you get new combo points on a new target. Now, the combo points are lost as soon as you select another target. Quite annoying.

Hunter feigns death, his pet attacks me, I auto select the pet, I loose all combo points.

I think in vanilla it was possible to have combo points on your target, then switch to a mob and kick it, then switch back to your target and continue with your combo points.

Does it really have to be as it is now? This is very limiting and just unnecessary.

It was always this way up until the release of the monk class in mists, it wasn’t until this point that you generated combo points on yourself rather than your target. Everyone (citation needed) thought it dumb that monks were the only class which was able to do this, so it was expanded to all of them.

Incredibly annoying isn’t it?

I think the OP refering to the “bug” where if by mistake you switched target but didnt atacked the new target or if you cleared your target your combo points will be lost.

I also thunk its dumb, a target should save the combo points on it self unless new target was auto atacked or new combo point were generated.

Indeed, I don’t really understand why they left crap stuff like that in this version to be fair.

anytime you click another target losing your combo points. its very annoying. But it’s what it’s.

Yeah is really anoying i dont know why blizzard do that, this bugged all the time xd
