Hello!
While questing, I wanted to dismiss my pet (as a hunter) due to it being stuck in geography.
However, I accidentally pressed abandon, not dismiss! It was a rare Broken Tooth as my pet, so this is the most unfortunate misclick in my life!
I am sure you can see in your logs that it is the case! Would you please be able to assist me in getting my Broken tooth back please?
What would be the most appropriate course to remedy this, considering that usual GM tickets in game do not really work anymore
Thank you already in advance!
Hey Norxxy,
Unfortunately that is not something that support can help out with. Pets that are dismissed or run away if unhappy cannot be recovered by support.
Have a few seconds to spare? Let me know how I’m doing!
Thank you for your prompt answer.
Who could help with the issue of this, as there do not seem to be an option have an ingame chat with a GM.
Just to clarify - it was not due to “in game mechanics” of unhapineess or something - it was a MISCLICK due to frustration of pet bneing stuck in geography yet again. Due to it being a rare pet, which was farmed for many, many hours, I was hoping that certain understanding could be shown and pet restored, as I do not see a point to continue playing now, after this misclick

No one will help you, because it was your fault. You must camp this pet again. You can try to open ticket, but don’t expect much.
Edit: Next time bind dismiss pet to your action bar instead of right clicking.

I did open a ticket yes, will see if I get any response from GMs
If no, I guess I will just stop playing - no motivation of going through all the trouble again
it’s sad, but no one will be fooled that you will stop playing because you accidentally deleted the pet. Blizzard doesn’t do what players want when they try to take them for pity. If someone wants to leave the game because he missclicked and removed his pet which is re-obtainable, then it’s not the game for that person.

Unfortunately nobody Norxxy, as I mentioned pets that have run away or have been abandoned (even if by mistake) cannot be restored.

I see, shame that nobody is able to assist.
Just in case, I did open a ticket and will wait a day or two for a response.
If nothing can be done, I will thank you for a fun 1 month in WoW Classic and move on, while dreaming of those good old days, when GMs in game actualyl did assist with accidentally deleted stuff and restored it
Have a good one
There are manual options to recover lost items, pet is not one of them, it’s a shame such little thing like pet is putting you off the game, but it’s your choice. Bye.

Appreciate your input instead of Blizz support, but what is one small thing to one person (who cannot relate to the issue at stake), is a big thing to another person.
That is why people like me come here to seek assistance.
Just tame this pet again, it is not so hard. You won’t find better game of this genre

Like I said - hard for you relate.
I would never open a thread in case of a normal pet, but this Broken Tooth - de facto best pet in Classic (at least for PvP) and is a very rare (and contested) spawn, that only luckiest of the luckiest get
This is not best pet anymore, it was fixed, check on www
I am not sure we are on the same page here buddy - I mean classic, not BfA. In Classic pet speeds (while other stuff is normalized) are still relevant, and BT with 1.0 is the cream of the crop
His attack speed is indeed 1.0 second, but his dps is the same as other cats with 1.3 speed, his hits are lower.

DPS is normalized, but attack speed is not. And like i said, if you would read carefully, it is for PvP.
Fast attack speed means better chances to pushback casters for example (with Frenzy talent dropping to 0.77 attack speed).
But again, appreciate your interest, but you could also check Classic hunter guides more carefully, then you will understand, why this rare (6- 8 h) spawn is no mega popular and highly contested.
Well, there are Eagle Eye strategies which are doing hunting for him simple. All in all GMs can’t help you in getting this pet back, you should make your way to badlands and tame another one. If 99% of hunters will use this pet, people will invent creative ways to deal with it in no time, fingers crossed. Peace.

Thank you for your input - but I will wait for GM ticket response now, as far as I see from US forums, GMs can and do restore pets.
Why you are rooting against GMs helping to solve an issue I do not know, but peace to you too.
We all know what you are doing when you repeat “oh guess I wont play anymore then” a hundred times.

Sadly stuff happens. While I have every sympathy for you, if it’s not something a GM can solve, then they won’t be allowed to make exceptions. Incidentally, you wouldn’t have had it restored in Vanilla either. At least you have the option to farm it again which you will probably have succeeded in doing before your ticket is responded to. Hope you find him quickly!
