Loot changes make it impossible to get transmog in raid

Imagine this, someone raids mythic and now they are blocked from rolling on gear in LFR/normal/heroic to completely transmog sets even though they are the ones carrying the raid. What carebear moron at Blizzard thought this was a good idea?

I don’t think that is the biggest issue tbh.
In SL the catalyst unlocked normal - HC and mythic appearance depending on ilvl… its seems this time it is only normal that is unlocked.

I honestly don’t think they did it on purpose.

Blizzard are the allstars of fixing one problem and creating 3 more lol

You shouldn’t raid normal/ heroic or even LFR only for transmog thou. There will always be people that actually need and can use that gear.

Unless of course you make your raid group " xmog run" which i guess will become impossible if it’s true what you’re talking about.

Maybe they doing it cause of new trade house for transmog or whatever that is what’s incoming?

Imma be straight with you mate. If such person demanded to have the same chance to get an item for transmog as other player would for an upgrade, I’d much rather them not be in the raid at all and I don’t care in the slightest what damage they are pumping.

Imagine this, you’ve just levelled and got some basic gear and you want to hit up LFR to gear up and possibly get some tier and some over geared players need everything out from under you.

What completely sensible person at Blizzard fixed this issue with the next patch.

:stuck_out_tongue:

I couldn’t resist using the same wording as yours but transmog collectors can use the catalyst to complete collections.

I thought you could still greed on items that were below your ilvl though?

You can still “need” items below your item level and win them, except for tier tokens if you have better ones.

Im not sure what the OP is complaining about then TBH!?
So you can still roll on items below your ilvl and get them…just not tier tokens?
That sounds fine to me. IME gear seems to drop way more often then tier tokens anyways!

Actually the rules are not very clear. And I don’t know how exactly it works overall.

Last night, I did LFR with my warrior, despite I have the tier glove from weekly M+ vault (ilevel 395), I could still need the LFR glove token (ilevel 376) and won.

But at the same time, a trinket dropped, but I can’t need it, because I have the heroic raid version.

So, What I can confirm is that, you can’t need LFR version gear only when you have higher raid (normal/heroic/mythic) version of the same item. But you can still need if you have M+ vault version (upgradable version) of the same item.

The whole group loot rules are very bizzare.

do you mean monkeys with brain chip from elon musk?

The need on tier changes come with patch I think, people could certainly need on tier tokens yesterday when I ran LFR.

If it’s a Transmog run then those that want the item can click greed and those that don’t can pass.

This is only an issue for a while until most players are geared then everyone is only there for currencies or transmog.

I actually NEED the gear though for transmog goals, it’s non-negotiable. Someone else doesn’t deserve the item more than me because we both contributed to killing the boss.

False, I was unable to roll on non-tier leggings in LFR because its lower than mine. This feels like communism.
