OK…Blizzard, you are joking, right ? World boss is totally useless… 4 weeks and no drop ? Soon it will be useless, because we will have better gear from m+ runs… Whats the point of that ? Whats the point of half of the content of SL ?!? Vault calculating always choose same slots as player best gear - again useless… Everything is made to made us mad and to slow us ?!? Do you think that`s right ? PvP is total mess, PvE is snale running… Every single week i do 10 m+ keys, and i take max 1-2 items and they are always useless, because they always coincide with my best gear… Realms population goes down fast and you keep ignoring that ? I love this game, i really do…but please, do something to fix that mess…
still getting no loot after 5 resets of killing a wb was rather unheard of. At least it’s 250 anima and not 35 but still, this is disappointing.
I treat wb as a bonus roll coin tbh, i don’t expect much out of it. The thing that does suck is terrible loot drop rates in raids and mythic+ dungeons. I have a streak of 13 nathria bosses in a row without any loot piece now. And that piece 13 bosses ago was a cloak which wasn’t an upgrade at all. What a waste of my time.
Sure, at the end of this patch I’ll propably be geared at a similar level as before, mainly through grinding great vault rewards as this is the only consistent source of strong gear.
Swapping your main mid-patch has never been harder I think. Not only you have to bother with renown catchup, being behind on Torghast legendary grind and you also need to grind the heck out of this game for loot which is very scarce. With help from friends it can still be done as they’ll be able to trade gear to you, but good luck doing mythic 0’s with your friends that are doing mythic +10s.
Across 2 chars killing every world boss I got 1 item. Don’t really care about that but you also get no loot from raids, hardly any loot from m+ and the end of week vault gives you the same items 3 weeks in a row.
And I don’t mean to exaggerate, my main got the same item 3 weeks in a row, and two other items I’ve had twice and all of them were rings, necks or bracers. I’m at the point where I’m just doing content that never gives upgrades to buff a chest at the end of the week which gives me super high ilvl duplicates every week.
I think that loot in wow sounded cool on paper for the company, because it will keep certain thick ppl subbed longer for lower blizz effort, but for us as customers, who actually play the game (unlike those who make decisions in blizzard), its just tons of issues.
First issue is ilvl, which decides whether you are taken into a content or ur going to spend hours of afking a main city. After 2 weeks of m0, my main cloth class ended with 175ilvl and it was almost impossible to get anywhere. My leather alts were 184+, cos I simply did leather runs in one week…Low gear drops create a huge disparity between lucky and unlucky players. Like how come certain ppl run with 230+ wpns since week one of the season, while the best weapons I saw are 184 honor staff and 150 rare dagger?
Unless you have friends to play regularly or have a guild who dont take things too seriously, you are screwed. I returned to wow and decided to go for horde, so I knew almost nobody. My experience was basically solo que in a game that isnt made for solo queing. Horribad. I spend days afking a city trying to get into groups, but why would you take somebody with low ilvl in a list of better geared ones, right?
And its not for a lack of trying. If I spend days of farming m+ with zero rewards, cos of bad rng, im just screwed and super annoyed. PvP gear is time gated behind renown + conq, that isnt a solution either. Its even worse solution.
My alts are better geared than my main for way less effort. I basically rely on picking the highest ilvl from vault to be lfg viable instead of what is the best for my char. This isnt something that brings enough fun to keep the sub going, so yea, blizz failed again.
Another issue is frustration from wasted time. Probably comes with the first issue. I know I will have issues if I wont get the gear. I wasted few days for nothing? That just feels bad. I just lose the will to go on. And i will waste even more time, because that means I will sit Oribos even more, because of invite declines.
There is no way to catch up with others if you are either unlucky or make an alt. Ppl doing double your dmg and have 5-10k life more than you have once you finally acquire all possible gear. In a PvP scenario, where instakills decide, who wins, this is unacceptable. I already explained the lfg pve issue before.
This lazy system that is supposed to keep ppl subbed for longer with less work just doesnt work and I think it will backlash big time. However I wont be here to witness it.
The game is not for him because he put in work and got nothing out of it and feels he should get something out of it? But you’re right, maybe he should leave and maybe many other will leave with him.
I have already cancelled my sub to the game, and will be just doing something else with my time. And we see how I feel about it in 10 days when it runs out, but maybe this is the time when people start to leave until things get fixed.
Things like abysmal class balance in PVE/PVP, overtuned tyrranical bosses in M+, this dumb greater vault system, the dumb mission table with impossible to complete missions 10 levels below your followers, unless you’re nightfae and impossible to fail missions even if they are 10 levels above your follower (due to trappers)…
Blizzard are not doing anything about any of the issues. Maybe you should have some empathy in future?
in a world of copious and generous loot dropping from any content (even afk content such as heroic warfront) ilvl stopped being any good metric and people adapted raider io to gauge your worthiness to get into groups.
Now we have both raider IO and scarce loot which makes it even more difficult to get into randoms unless you grind the heck out of this game. Just find a guild and save time.
It’s not a job it;s a game. What you call work is really entertainment and leisure time. Anyone who thinks of their leisure time as work and expects to be rewarded/compensated for it is completely deluded about what they are doing with their time.
If you are not getting enjoyment and entertainment from the time your putting into wow and instead expecting some kinda of rewards for it, then I think you need to re-examine what you do with your free time.
What? So if you put work and time into a hobby you should not expect to be rewarded in some way? Why would to do a hobby if not to be rewarded? WoW works on you play the game, you get rewards it allows you to continue progressing. But unlike hobbies or games where you get out what you put in, in WoW you put in X amount o time and it craps out something random, like a lottery ticket.
If your ilvl stays still it becomes difficult to progress. Your performance does not increase, your chances of getting invites decreases with each week as the average increases. This game is built around loot, improved character strength is the incentive for effort.
I do have, but I cannot see the point here? Why make a drama out of it, the loot is what loot is, some like some do not. If I do not like a game i stop playing it but I do not need to express my personal opinion about it because it is very personal and situational. Like: i got no loot in 1 month, ye right
Why make drama? Because people want to vent after getting bad luck, and people want to raise concerns that they don’t want luck associated with their efforts in game. Gearing never been so frustrating in WoW, you have to grind it out and then pray to lottery gods.
Enough drama and Blizz might make adjustments, or are you happy that they reduced raid loot drops, reduced M+ loot and capped +15 loot at below heroic raider level, while being aimed at Mythic raiders in terms of tuning? I just don’t see how this is a good system, ilvl210 should be dropping from 10s, not 15s.
Thats another problem. They promised us cross realm guilds years ago and we were screwed again for sake of few dollars they get from transfers…getting a decent guild for high m+ or pvp seems like impossible, at least on my realms. I dont have time for raiding and guilds for anything outside of raiding or useless social guilds dont seem to exist unless you are ok with some casual playing, but then you can also just lfg and be ok with it.
Dude I started playing guitar when I was 14, I put work into that hobby, it was a past time for fun but I worked hard at it and it became a career. Nobody sit and practice for god to roll a dice at the end of the day as to whether you get better or not, even tho skills can work that way the further you go…
But I’m 35, I don’t need edgy people telling me life is gonna be a reality check like I just came out of school, I’ve put “work” into many hobbies, you don’t get good without work. Games/hobbies reward you, WoW does too… Except when it doesn’t, then it feels like punishment because relative to the playerbase you’re going backwards, that means less invites.
It’s not rewarding to get the same loot 3 weeks in a row after putting in hours of your time.
Oh my dear Friend, believe me when I say that I too like to be rewarded with my hobby (I do whenever given the chance ofcourse), however, there are people with the “Old-days” mentality where you must cry tears of blood, your hands must be covered with nothing but scars and that “life” must put you down so hard that feeling “joy” in what you do is considered “Heresy”.
They won’t listen, they won’t care, they were educated in that way on purpose to see life as “First come, first serve, late bloomers begon.” type of deal, no offence to Artan ofcourse but I’ve met people like him, they’re not fun, atleast the ones I met in the past aren’t.
