This might be a dumb question. im trying to farm for a polearm in Hellfire Citadel that I wanna use on my warrior. It dosent show on the loot table for the warrior when I look in dungeon journal, but it does for my hunter. Does that mean that even though I can use it on my warrior, I would have to farm it on my hunter/another class where its on the loot table?
Basically all item types will drop when you do legacy raids, whether you can equip it or not. So as long as the class you are doing the raids on can equip the item, you’ll learn the appearances.
Legacy raids are usually one expansion older than the current. So currently legacy is for raids before BfA.
I’m currently running Nighthold on two chars for their sets, I wish they’d remove Artifact relics (and trinkets, rings and necks). Nobody running a legacy raid wants any of those…
Something tells me that necklace and ring appearances will be added at a point…
Those could just be added to the barbershop, if any.
But I’d rather see the removal of accessories and relics for legacy content (can stay if you do it as current content, like leveling your alts up in a Cata dungeon, but these shouldn’t be present when you’re packing the place with your lvl 60’s).
Well the loot tables show by default items appropriate to your class (personal loot), but you can change the filters to show all loot. And, as mentioned, when running in legacy loot mode (automatic once you’re enough levels above the instance) you get drops as if the party was full and regardless of which class you actually are.
Actually wrong. Since the last patch, BFA is also included in legacy loot.
(You can easily test by entering any dungeon)
I disagree with this on principle. What if you want to get a specific trinket or other old unique item for timewalking for example?
Not sure what’d be a good solution, as I know it’s annoying when a bunch of necks, rings and trinkets drop on transmog runs, but whatever. I’d find it more important for bonus rolls to at least guarantee that you get a piece of loot instead of stuff that is 100% useless now such as Azerite power
There could be a “transmog mode” in that case to collect looks. That way you’d get to farm old trinkets if you need, or have an easier time getting mogs.
meaning, you have to wait a whole expansion before getting being able to get other classes loot, even if you can solo it.
so, for a level 60 raids (9.0), you have to be level 71 (11.0)
I’d forgottent his as well until another poster reminded me.
But generally yes we have to wait. I don’t know what their intention is with SL content when it become the old expansion. We will have to wait and see whether it will get the legacy treatment at one of the earlier patches of DF.
