Ok.
Think I had enough of SL to write this whine post.
Can someone in BLIZZARD explain to me this.
-
Why I, a M+ and raid runner compete with 20 other people for loot that MIGHT drop, while PvPer just picks what he actually needs from a list! He doesn’t compete, he doesn’t get rolls or anything. He goes - wins/looses - choose reward and boom - it’s in inventory. While I had to run numerous M+ runs and still get crap and not things I actially need. Rng is rng, but when is this being anything close to fair? 10 runs last week, no weapon. 10 run now - no shield. I didn’t even see’em drop to anyone. “Well done” I say…
-
Why PvP items have fixed stats? I mean if your class have a versatility preference, hello DH, - you can gear up in PVP items… wow, that’s rich. You you don’t need vers - you are stuck with improper stats. Nice job blizz.
-
How is this stupid thing like scaling works? Key lvl 10 drops 203 gear, but weekly = 220? So, once you are geared in 207+, you should what? Your only option is 1 weekly item from chest, and Mythic raid? In-depth design, really…
-
Crappy random. Why we cannot receive some tokens for PvE activities, like pvpers and choose reward we need. You don’t get a neck from warden? Cool, wait a week. Why? Because you cannot get it elsewhere. Another guy looted it? Well, okay, you can wait. Excellent, rewarding gameplay.
-
Your idea of 2 items per 20 ppl is pure, unhidden stupidity. 10 bosses. 20 items per week. And pure random. It DOESN’T make items valuable, since you get mostly crap you already have. But it DOES annoy you. 20 items per entire raid. Chances you get your neck, token, or trinket, are so damn low, it elevates stress, and eliminates desire to raid at all. And running 10 m+ with 0 useful loot eliminates desire to actually PLAY.
All this crap is really wanting me to unsub.
I give blizz a try every now and then, and you do make some interesting things, but even SWTOR has a better gearing system with their tokens / loot / craftables.

This is me right now, raiding has never been this unrewarding.

I hate this versatility expansion,
why do I always get this useless PVP stat from M+ and Raid?
You actually think someone will do PVP if you drop PVP gear?
Guess what? - NOT HAPPENING!!!
Why you can’t acknowledge that it’s resilience just in another packaging and put it on PVP items only?

Versatility should just be PVP stat, its the most boring stat in PVE, oh you deal more damage…Woah!
And I would wish PVE would drop more gear, from 3 per boss to 6, and Mythic plus dropping 3 items per run…
Also remove conquest cap for PVP, so you can gear up and just go play.

Mastery is boring, too. Because its simple +Damage on most specs aswell.
I like versa for multiple reasons:
- Its a great stat for PvP and for Tanks in any kind of content.
- Its a really good indicator for specs with scaling problems in PvE. Specs that have versa as their best stat in PvE often scale incredible bad with a lot of other stats (too bad blizzard doesnt fix scaling issues)
The problem is that they removed other interesting or cool stats.
RIP: MP5, Spirit, Hit, Expertise and Resilience
I wont miss Multistrike because it was basically a worse crit, which also stole a part of ele-shaman identity and needed a special spec-passive to be good, like blade twisting for rogues.

My main issues is - why I have limited raid attempts, random reward, competition with others, while PvP guy just win/loss and buy what he actually needs (no roll, no chances, no competition, pure buy) with BEST stats??
Why? Why do you hate your main playerbase so much Blizz?

Have you ever done pvp. Its much harder to win bgs than clearing a dungeon/raid. pve is static while in pvp winning is not guaranteed at all. Also yeah you can pick what you want. However it takes like 10 months before you got enough conquest to get proper geared. and only next week we are able to upgrade honor gear higher than 184.
You can pick what you want in pvp sure, but there are far more sources for gear in pve. PVE gear even is tradeable if your friends/partymembers dont need it. Also far superior gear compared to pvp. As pvp gear is timegated into oblivion
Not sure why you are complaining about pve not getting enough gear as pve players are way better geared than people only trying to gear trough pvp.

You are comparing apples to oranges. PvP is not the same as PvE so the reward dynamic is also different.
Also given how the pvp crowd had suffered before with being forced to raid/m+ just to be viable. Its nice for them to have a little respite…and thats coming from me as a “dragonslayer”.

Competing is literally the entire point of PvP…
But it’s kinda crazy both ways.
PvPers don’t want stupid PvE gear ruining their content (which it is and ALWAYS HAS DONE - right now our honor gear is arbitrarily locked at junk item level so people who do PvE have a major PvP advantage AGAIN!)
And PvErs don’t want PvP gear in theirs.
I’d be more than happy for my PvP gear to be as useless as Pandaria greens in a current raid so long as PvE gear would get out of PvP completely.
If I want to raid I will go do the appropriate content and get the gear for that. Getting 2 sets is not a problem. Heck, I used to have 6.
I don’t want PvE players to feel forced to do PvP, that must be miserable.
And I sure as heck don’t want to be forced to PvE. Again.

You are not competting againts other players. You are in guild which means you will eventualy get your items.

The honor gear available to PvPers is currently literally on the level of world quest rewards.
They’re placeholder items with a very low ilvl that are replaced very, very slowly by Conquest gear.
In order to get high-level conquest gear, a PvPer needs to attain a high rating in PvP. The set stats means that for some classes, PvP gear is really good in PvE, while for others, it won’t be good in PvE. Versatility does drop in PvE too though, so I really don’t see how a PvEer would be “forced” to PvP in any form or fashion.
It’s actually the whole “The strongest players are those who do all the content” argument finally actually being somewhat realized in the game. Of course, this only applies to classes who desire the stats available on said PvP gear, but stuff like the main-stat proc trinket with passive haste are probably wanted by a lot of people.
Honestly, after watching PvPers get shafted time after time after time and being forced to raid and do M+ 10 times more than they PvP just to get a foot inside the PvP scene, I feel zero sympathy for a PvEer who sees a PvP item and thinks “I want this and it’s so unfair that I have to PvP to get it”.
PvPers are experiencing that same thing right now, as they always have. Lots of incredibly good versatility items come from PvE, and I personally find it way easier to do M+ than to climb in ratings. On all my characters, my M+ weekly chest always has a higher level than my PvP chest, and often I find myself picking items from there with suboptimal stats because the raw stats from the ilvl difference makes up for losing 1% vers.
Both PvP and PvE have good gear for both types of content atm.
I feel like the best solution would be to completely separate the two and bring back resilience or “PvP content only” item level boosting, but Blizzard doesn’t share that opinion.

1 small problem with current pvp items. Nest week they will invalidate 1/3 of all PvE progress. Everything upto 200imtelvl will be considered trash gear and everything below mythic+6 and normal raid will become absolote. Which will feel horrible to all casual guilds and most casual players.
It would be best to have combined PVE currency that is capped the same way as conquest. And maybe even something like honor for alts to catch up on PVE gear after their mains.
You like to raid? You go to raid and drop item that is not an upgrade or drop nothing at all? You get twice the amount for that boss. 10/10 HC should be enough to generally hit the cap for the week.
You like to M+? The higher the key the more currency you get, no drop - twice the amount.
And with this currency you have access to dungeon and raid items AND their upgrades up to two last HC bosses ilvl. It shouldn’t be too efficient, but it should be a way to push your items higher without RNGesus intervention and to fill the unlucky slots. I myself lost hope that I can upgrade certain things through PVE and started to PVP solely to have at least this 200 ilvl PVP items there. Pretty ridiculous how many people do that right now. PVE is right now VERY unrewarding.
You can triple loot drops from pve and players will not bother anyway. PVP rewards are wsy too acessible and easier to earn then pve. You open interface, press 1 button and get easy currency what gets you gear and you dont have to be skilldull to farm.honor at all. PvP rewards are just too easy to ger.
Thats why pvp gearing was gated. If playets could upgrade to max rank from day 1 Blizz could also remove lfr, normal raid and mythic+ upto +5 becouse that content would be absolote from day 1.
OP, are you lying to me? I have 15k honor banked and my PvP gear is still at 198 (including some items from raids/m+/world boss). Where’s my 226?

I stopped reading at that point, you also take less damage Versa isn’t only damage increase. I used to play PvE with Versa gear on, feels less risky and easy.
Don’t forget, the best dps is an alive one

Already unsubbed. Can not pvp on alt cause pointless chores will drown out any time I have for it anyways, being stuck with one class in pvp sucks as well everything was fine with wod system don’t get why they wrecked that with legion onwards.
Playing pve is fine, m+ are fun but the rewards… 220+ chest farm is the only loot that matters on top of the fact it barely drops any loot in dungeons to begin with 1-2 on average, gg.
Which leaves you with mythic raids. Which are super easy to get in to and beat and what not right… Not. Semi sucks you can not even feel geared for m+ either cause you are not a mythic raider.
Do not get me wrong raiding should be rewarding it is just annoying when all the content share the same loot and per default the best stuff for everything comes from the mythic raid.
PvP and pve not being separate type of gear sucks big time. What sucks about raiding thiu is the no master loot problem. It’s just rng for no reason. Beyond the useless chores that is what made me quit BFA the in the first patch. It was just mentally exhausting. Now it made me quit shadowlands as well first patch. So I do not get their insistence on it, not being allowed to feel excited about loot at all is dumb. There is barely any loot and the loot I do get is either pointless coz most chest gives 220+ or no master loot makes impossible to get BiS and feel excited as a guild to progress your raid. I swear more loot drama and disappointment with this system than master loot ever did which I had zero problems with all of legion and before.

raid is a massive pile of disappointment at the moment.
15% loot drop? No coin? Once a week? Time consuming? Worse vault rewards as well.
At this point, I honestly don’t find anything more pointless than doing raids in the game. Even torghast gives me once per week soul ash guaranteed.
Imagine being a PVE player and having +30 item levels ahead of PvP players 194 gear.
At least you can get six rewards in the vault a week whilst for PvP it’s just 3.
Also PVE is also easier so the rewards shouldn’t be as good.
