Loot Vault and Mythic Gear?

Hi all,

Does anyone have the actual answer (so not assuming or guessing, but actually know) about Mythic gear appearing in the Loot Vault?

I heard that so long as you’ve cleared, say, 5 bosses, then from then on, any of the loot that could be gotten (for example for killing 3 bosses) can then be loot from any of those 5 bosses.

Yet I’ve had two bosses cleared for 2 / 3 months now, and -never- seen loot from two Bosses we aren’t always able to re-clear (but have killed a couple of times in the past).

I don’t quite understand. So you killed 2 mythic bosses in sanctum of domination?

How would you get loot from those then if the vault slot unlocks at 3?

The vault can indeed drop loot from any of the bosses you previously killed. Even if you did not kill that particular boss the week before.

However, this will not make mythic loot available in the heroic raid vault slots.

So to get mythic raid loot from the vault you’ll need to kill atleast 3 mythic raid bosses in the week before.

This example from the wowhead great vault guide might clear things up.

If you cleared 10/10 Normal but only 7/10 Heroic, your first two pieces will be Heroic quality, but your last option will be Normal quality.

Killed a total of 5 bosses.

Been clearing 3 bosses for 2 / 3 months. Sometimes unable to RECLEAR the 4th or 5th bosses, which we’ve killed before.

Never seen the 4th or 5th Boss drop loot from the Vault, even though it should be unlocked to drop now, no?

According to Icy Veins, the loot can be from any of the first eight, regardless of which of them you kill that week or have ever killed. To get KT/Sylvanas loot, you need to have killed them at least once ever.

The item level of rewards in this category is based on raid difficulty. You can unlock better loot by defeating bosses in Sanctum of Domination on higher difficulties. Loot from the first 8 Sanctum of Domination bosses will always be available whether you killed them or not. Loot from the final two bosses (Kel’Thuzad and Sylvanas Windrunner) cannot be obtained unless you kill them once. Skipping Kel’Thuzad and killing just Sylvanas Windrunner only adds Sylvanas loot to the Vault table.

A more interesting question is if the loot you have been offered has always been from bosses you’ve killed.

To be able to get Mythic loot you need to kill at least 3 bosses to receive an item.
For example if you kill 2 bosses and 1 heroic boss you won’t get an item from those 2 bosses.
But for example let’s say you killed first 3 bosses this week but originally you are 5/10 . You will get a piece loot from those 5 bosses you previously killed in your vault. You might get an item from that 2 bosses you didn’t kill this week.
Same goes for any sylvanas loot you need. I do know many people who does 9/10 to get 3 vault slots for a shot to get sylvanas trinket. You only need to kill the boss once then you can get any item it drops from vault. Only thing you need is kill 3 bosses in that difficulty. You can get sylvanas loot from vault if you kill first 3 bosses.

I can actually prove this is wrong. Also i wouldn’t trust any info i see on icyveins. Their guides are either false or outdated. You need to kill a boss to receive an item from their loot table on vault. This doesn’t only work for last 2.

So this is what I mean.

I’ve killed the 5 bosses, multiple times.

But sometimes we don’t clear the 4th or 5th boss (still kill 3 Bosses) - yet for 2 months now I’ve never ever seen loot from the 4th or 5th boss (including the odd time we re-clear them)
