if it makes you feel any better, it took me 5 months of continuous camping to tame that beauti back in Wrath of the Lich King when it was the only spirit beast available. i saw it getting killed 3 times infront of me by people who wanted to skin it for the easy Arctic Fur, one of the times i was in the middle of taming it and someone came and killed it while i was taming it and then laughed at me. Good luck on your hunt, just be happy you can realm hop nowadays

The first was by accident, I was flying there for I think the Magni quest in Legion, when you need to go there… and noticed prowling on a rock
Then spent a few months camping the 2nd one, flying around time to time like and idiot on the spawn route while hunting Skoll (he was a damn hard to catch too)
Not using them tho’…
My personal nightmare is Skarr, the obsidian kitty from Molten Front… Not even seen him during the long long long months… the whole BfA actually and gave up, accepting my humiliating defeat

You can’t realm hop anymore. The people must be in the same zone as you and same warmode

back in day u had 1 realm to compete with. it was much easier to track competition. i farmed all mounts after crz. big difference ;p

Go to low pop server and farm your beasts ive got them all.

I dont think Ive ever found him by camping. My Tauren tamed him on a low pop server though when she just popped in for abit of mining.

I think for all the Northrend rares I’ve seen them around 3 am or somewhere around there, also luck.

Took me about 20hr’s of camping over 2 weeks to get both of mine, the bugger is he’s got 7-8 spawn points & spawns about every 10 hr’s… Best chance is about 3-5am when no one is on… Get some beers in & fly in circles for hr’s

Dont have any stories of getting him in an hour. But I was lucky enough to start the game young, and when you are 10 even flying around scholazar basin for 3 days is fun.
