Lord Roccor - how to deal with Roiling Magma?

I’m in a raid right now and Lord Roccor is putting up Roiling Magma every 15 sec or so and at some point he pops 5 of them at once summoning 5 of those large Sons of Roccor instead of 1.

Anyone got an idea why this is happening and how to deal with it? We are stepping on 100% of all the small blobs that spawn from Eruption

That’s just the dps check, focus on adds and cleave down the main boss + keep interrupts going on the slag armours.
