Hi people behind blizzard/WoW ^^

Could you please fix this somewhat of a bug? I’ve recieved a ring two weeks in a row now that is for healers and spell casters, and I’m a Blood Death Knight. It seems pretty pointless to get gear that isn’t meant for my char in any specs in the weekly chest. As far as I can tell, the “Lady Waycrest’s Music Box” has intellect on it and only intellect.
To get that item two weeks in a row (The Lord Waycrest’s Signet) really ruins the player experience.

I am Game Master Khrastalius. Unfortunately I seem to have missed you ingame, which is why I am sending you this offline response to answer your issue.

But first let me apologize for the long wait time. While we always try to get in touch with our players as soon as possible, it is sometimes not feasible due to the huge amount of tickets we receive each day.

I took a look into this issue and pulled your activity logs and was able to verify the situation you described. That being said, Customer Support exists to help our players when the game’s systems are not working correctly and as such, an undesired outcome results from an action you might take. This is not the case.

Your Loot Specialization affects the gear obtained from bosses and Mythic caches. Loot from other sources will usually adhere to your class only: this is applicable to rewards from World and Emissary Quests, items found in satchels and rare elites in Warfronts. Unless otherwise specified in the item description, the loot will be class specific, not spec specific.

I hope this helps to clarify the loot mechanics :slight_smile:

No, it’s not solved, since Death Knight CAN’T use intellect no matter which spec they use. It sounds more like an auto answer you gave me there, since there’s no point to drop a ring that is useless for classes that can’t use intellect no matter which spec they’re in. When you work to get something out of your weekly chest, you at least expect that it’s something that can be used on at least one of the 2-4 specs that is on that character…

Apologies for the other answer, I know what you mean about the Lord Signet. This ring “sets” with the music box which is a caster only item, so Bloodymess won’t be able to complete the set and get the reward.

We don’t know if this is intended so we reported this to devs. If you have one minute, please copy paste your initial ticket to the in-game “bug report” window so you will add some details to it.

My personal idea is that the ring has been left as possible loot for all classes because it has pretty good stats overall and, despite not being able to complete the set, it’s still a good ring if nothing else or nothing better is available, but I may be wrong.

Now, the fact that you got it 2 weeks is a row is frustrating but sadly that’s part of the RNG way of things. However, I will cross my fingers and hope you’ll get something cool next week [Name], thanks for the time and have a nice day!

Now, how the heck is that even possible? A ring like that shouldn’t be given, if it has no purpose to the class…
Is Blizzard trying to get less customers, by ruining the experience for the gamers?..

the ring is a stam+secondaries ring
It works for any class

The bonus effect doesn’t take away from the base stats of the ring and is an added bonus

it’s still trash and shouldn’t drop for classes that can’t benefit from it. Plus, no, it’s a trash ring. You pay for a service, then you also expect that everything is in order, or at least gets fixed asap.

it’s a regular ring like any other ring,you benefit from it as much as any other ring

People who can also use the music box get an extra benefit for it,but to you,it remains a normal crit/vers ring with no drawback to it

Yh… I think you’re missing the point here… I don’t dispute the rings stats, but the passive effect. They should make it viable for all classes, if it can drop for all.

100% Agree with you,I had this dropped many time and it’s useless,this is the same situation like as a caster would get a item that gives strength,it’s useless for them,I don’t believe that there is a excuse for this from devs or gms to hand out items what is useless for the class if we had this rng,it’s already frustrating to get items in wrong spec even if you change your loot to let’s say as blood and uh I still get 1h weps,getting gear from my weekly chest for other spec,that’s already very bad,but to give items that give you stats that’s absolutely useless for you is beyond my comprehension

Ahww is somebody hurt they didn’t get the perfect roll? :frowning: take away the set bonus, and it’s just another ordinary ring like any other, you wouldn’t have made this thread

think its too much atention is being given to a non-issue

given the effect doesnt take away stats, its just a normal ring
