Lore Interview on what happens to alternate universe souls when they go to the Shadowlands

Basically what they’re saying is something like when AU Draka dies, she’ll become one with the MU Draka we see in Maldraxxus, There is one soul across the multiverse for everyone. So AU Velen and MU Velen will be the same character in the Shadowlands once Velen dies.

Kinda confusing tbh.

Wouldn’t having alternate versions of the Shadowlands been so much easier to explain this stuff. Or better yet, collapse the multiverse since it’s just a pain to write for/understand anyway.

Not really a fan of the rope analogy. If alternate Draka dies, does it mean Shadowlands Draka gets her memories then? or…

And if they’re both just part of a rope, is there like a version of her out there made up of all the threads whos actually the real one?

Cheers for sharing though.

Okay, I will say it
This is insane and stupid, and we should keep away these “creative team members” and “designers” from the Lore… and the Game itself

The answer is Twin Peaks.

Someone should really tell Blizzard, cosuming those funny mushrooms are not good to their mental health…
Nor smoking that strange weed :eyes:

… Okay i really dislike this a lot…

What happens if someone is really good in one world and really evil in the other? they’re punishment is somewhere in between?

Really would’ve prefered just having multiverse shadowlands.

This is a total nonsence, but tbh I never expected any better from Steve Danuser.

That one was a masterpiece of corporate doublespeak. Really, a demonstration of master class in “how to talk and keep talking, yet say nothing”. Nebulous and vague to the degree that even enthusiastic people commenting on Wowhead noticed. I’m gonna summarize it as BOLLOCKS!

Make 0 sense actually
From the Mag’har recruitment scenario we know from the Bronze Dragon, Garrosh have/had a wide range of possibilities/alternates and we got the worst who failed the most… but there was hero and noble out there
Now if you die, you go to the SL, thats cool, simple… and the Arbiter judge you. Cool
But the alternate “you” maybe already died and was judged and you bacome one with him? Or when the baddest of the bad version of you worthy to the Maw bites the dust, but you managed to die first, after that alternate’s death he escapes fate and bacome the part of you?
So you will be re-judged? Or the potential maw-candidate cheated the system?
Insane and silly this whole thing they came up with
But fitting, the whole Shadowlands lore is such a mess they shoudl have scraped it at the drawing board phase and maybe focus on that DAMN BIG SWORD STICKING OUT OF OUR PLANET???

Alternate universes/timelines should have never been explored in the first place.

For us, a little confusing. From them, extremely confusing. Do they have the memories / experience of both universes? Do we know that there are only two universes or are there Infinite versions of the universe? Two versions of your memories would be pretty bad, infinite versions would defy comprehension…

this multi universe meta way to tell stories needs to stop!

It’s just not the Shadowlands that shares / can enter the multiple Universe.
Couldn’t the Burning Legion enter different universes aswell?.

As if im not wrong, the Archimonde we fought on AU Draenor was OUR Archimonde which climbed the Tree in Hyjal.

So! the Six Seats in the cosmology map overall could prob also enter different Universes.

Our Draka dies, then AU Draka dies, sounds just like a " Fusion " from Dragonball lol.

Yeah it’s abit wierd even lore-wise, and Steve is the lead designer for Lore (?)
How does that make sense even a single bit xD

And when they go all Dragon Ball Fusion style, how does their Personality change.

Because apparently most Universes have a Strong Non-Tyrant Garrosh.
What happens if our Tyrant Garrosh fusions with the Non-Tyrant one?

Do we have a " Redeemed " Garrosh ?.

Garrosh was actually a good guy and great Warchief in like 99% of the timelines, we just got the 1%. And he went to Revendreth as if that 1% is all that mattered.

This is just bad…Feels like that person just made that up on the spot…

It makes ZERO sense.

There was an alternative time line where Thrall was in, where he died as a baby.
Taretha was still alive as Blackmoore.
Arthas had married Jaina and Varian was the best man of the wedding.

What would happen if that Arthas would die and merge with the one of our dimension ?

Incoming redemption ?

Cheers.
