Lore talk: Why would a soul want to be a Maldraxxi abomination?

Like… I can’t see the appeal. And why can’t Maldraxxi create prettier constructs… because what we see are absolute body horros, revolting, stinky, repulsive… yet we have the abomination stitching factory where souls apparently WANT to be abominations… It makes so little sense xd

If my character was, say, a goblin in life, I’d want to be anything but that in the afterlife. So being a Maldraxxi abomination is quite an improvement over that!

Besides, the goal of the Maldraxxi is not to be beautiful. The goal is to be a warrior. When you get hacked to pieces over and over again in battle, being a stiched up abomination is rather practical: you can just saw random bodyparts on, to replace whatever was cut, and you’re good to go!

It’s like a mechagnome, just a bit inferior.

Sex appeal thats why. Besides maybe Kul tirans or tauren, this game lacks them thicc bois.

Only thing that feels like warcraft is maldraxxus and its aboms. There is pretty things in Ardenweald fyi

People say you can’t argue about taste, but if somebody said cyanide in large quantities is very healthy and delicious, they’d be just barely as wrong as you are.

Oh, yeah, I forgot about blood elves. Heck, I’d rather be half an abominations than one of them. No surprise one of those would make a comment like yours.

I find your amount of dislike towards other races quite concerning. Maybe you should talk to the famous loa of kings, Rezan, about it. Oh wait…

Well perhaps Rastakhan, the God King, might have something to say about it. Wait a second…

I guess jealousy towards other races having lore relevant characters does indeed breed hate.

I’m a Mechagnome in a Zandalari bodysuit. I care not about Rezan or Rastakhan, my King is alive and well, thank you.

Ah yes, the Mechagnome in a Zandalari bodysuit.

Denial is a serious issue my friend. Even if you do live on a floating garbage heap, it doesn’t make you a mechagnome.

That being said, the jealousy towards other races having lore relevant characters fits both Mechagnomes as well as Zandalari Trolls. That being said, Zandalari Trolls at least used to have some, Mechagnomes never had any :joy:

Says a lot about the value of your opinion when you can’t accept anything but your opinion

Where does the attempt at getting personal come from now?
If I’ve hurt your feelings, understand that it was not my intention.

In fact anything I’ve written thus far was meant to be a joke and not something serious. I didn’t believe I’d have to clarify, but apparently I do?

Or I guess I’m just really bad at reading statements, but your last statement feels much less like something from the perspective of a character and much more like something that’s meant to be a personal attack.

If I misread it, that’s on me.

OK but there is another question - why Alexandros and Draka could choose normal forms - why aren’t they abomination? And if they could pick forms why everyone else is a stinky rotting bag of soul flesh.

Why would anybody wanna exist in the shadowlands anyway?

U have a choice between being an horrid abomination, a pixie playing childs games in a world so saturated with blue you get a headache after 2 world quests, to having tea parties with ugly vampires (not even the vampires could be hot) and to get beaten up by angels til u forget who u are.

I’d take the garrosh way out and turn into soul ash asap

Strength is everything. Abominations are big and strong.

Let’s face it, it’s where orcs and yuangol go when they die.

I see plenty of pretty normal NPCs in the Necrolord sanctum. Pretty much all the guards could be orcs or Kul Tirans or literally anything else, cos they only have boney armor, otherwise they’re quite normal.
