Perhaps a solution to this is the approach in Legion Remix implementing a “Outdoor Heroic Difficulty” where all mobs are relatively stronger and may require help from others for a more attractive reward in an slight increase of ilvl.
I don’t view my character(s) as being important enough to create myths and legends about. They are just lone hunters/adventurers/explorers doing their little bit to help out.
So no lorewalking tales about my character(s).
I just want something to do that makes sense and is real. So I guess I’m at the wrong place.
Like I want the world to change, things to happen in it.
Maybe I was a druid, for example, and I was caring for a grove.
So there was plants, trees and moss in it, and animals. And those grew. And the grove grew.
There was an elven village nearby and I went there sometimes to trade herbs for other things, tools and food or crafts.
We had an understanding.
But there was an orc village a bit further away at the plains. We did not have an understanding.
Like a roleplaying game.
The power level of druids vary and I don’t mind asymmetry at all. But I mind that everything is like it’s frozen in time.
I don’t know if you guys feel like that but it does to me.
It’s a dead wasteland. Doesn’t matter how you color it or how many dimensions it has.
I was so hoping this would be an expletive-ridden rant thread, going by the thread title.
I’m so disappointed, I’m going to hurl abuse at the nursery kids tomorrow.
