Is not going to die but be a traitor…
Nah.
He fights.
He looses.
And when he is on his knees about to die the actual lead character for midnight will rescue him and then he probably scuttles of to wherever thrall was hiding since the intro of tww cause blizz already showed us that in an expansion with a bloodelve focus the long standing regent isn’t gonna be relevant.
And the character in question who rescues him is probably gonna be one of the windrunners.
Sylvanas or aleria no one cares about the third one.
I bet on aleria tho cause I’m pretty convinced no one at blizzard does even know that it’s possible to write horde characters as important for the story.
Sylvanas will maybe show up anyway but not with a major role except if they go for a lorderon themed second patch.
Wich will ofcourse Focus more on humans then forsaken
They best not turn him into another Bolvar… That would suck.
He will be Kael’thas 2.0
please no ,she should stay in SL.
he is dead or a traitor, no one is saving him.
If they do that they can just openly admit that they have no interest in writing horde story’s and that they would rather like us all to not play that faction
I think everyone is jumping on this from very little, obscure information that is blurry at best.
This “Ranger General Alleria” if true, is pathetic. Seems like they really will make the elves like the Pandas.
Alleria has been an alliance character for so long there’s no way she joins the Horde so it’s either the elves join Alliance or they become neutral.
We need Sylvanas to return and the Forsaken to have a good story.
But they are probably gonna do it.
It looks like they are pretty set on alleria being the hero of everything that has to do with the void.
So ofcourse they need to bash her into a blood elve story.
I honestly think there is no one in the team that is capable and/or willing to write story’s for anything other then generic lawfull good lotr style fantasy characters.
And the horde does not fit that.
And even I’m a big forsaken fan that doesn’t play any other races (boy that’s limiting my class selection) I don’t think we will have story’s for them.
I would love to have a undermine style patch that focuses on the forsaken where we finally get our city back and where the lands of lorderon get some love but I highly doubt it.
We didn’t got much love when our queen was warchief of the whole faction so I don’t have any hopes.
And if they actually gonna do anything involving the forsaken they may throw is a bone and give us a new “city” and then they gonna reclaim a bunch of lorderon territorys for the humans in a “we get closer again” story line wich simply serves to erase forsakens a bit more
nope!!! There is literally no lore reason for him to turn against his people…
Not to mention that her character was butchered so badly with this half soul thing.
Now she is a dead Alleria herself.
I don’t know if Metzen can find a way to restore some of her personality considering she’s now “whole”.
Also, miss Nathanos. That bastard was funny as hell. One of the few characters Danuser brought to the game that I was actually invested in.
I think that if the Forsaken want a good story (And yeah, they need one, as do the other Horde races, since picking fights with the Alliance is off the table, what are they doing now?), the whole race reverting back to fawning, Sylvanas worshipping cultists is the very last thing they need.
She is just “Ranger-General” of the void elves, much like Vereesa called herself it for the High Elves. I think it’s rather distasteful myself and a huge insult to Sylvanas and their people.
Lor’themar Theron is….?
A white male that is into women (het*ro is banned in the forum kek) and a Chief. So in the eyes of blizz he must die and be replaced by a woman.
Poor Thalyssra if he really dies.
I’m honestly cool with everything at this point that isn’t brain dead sylvanas worshiping (even so I’m a loyalist) or just surrendering lorderon to the humans in a “get the families back together” thing.
Do you think Blizzard deserves the benefit of the doubt?
Have no fear, for she will immediately get over it (Save for a few lines of dialogue paying lipservice to missing him), and will move on to being with a woman to tag-team being kweeenz.
Quoting Michael from the Office: “no please no, no nooooooooooooooooooooooo”
My people must be avenged! So I shall go against them and inject Void Energies into myself!
Not saying that should be the way to go in the future. They have a chance to give Sylvanas the throne back without turning the undead into worshippers.
But, look, them worshiping Sylvanas wasn’t the worst thing about their story. Sylvanas did save them and give them a land and a purpose. I think they should remain grateful. I hope she remains central to their story, even with all the messed up decisions during BFA and Shadowlands.
In the end, they wrote a bad plot that wasn’t fitting to her or the Forsaken and they have a big chance to fix that in Midnight.
Could be, could be, I hope that’s what they mean.
Alleria is a very Alliance oriented character and doesn’t have a place in the Horde. For them to make her the leader of all elves, they would have to shift the narrative drastically.
Sylvanas is deeply tied to the elven story and I think she should play an important role in Midnight.
I know people have fatigue from all the mess in BFA and Shadowlands and are tired of her but if there’s someone that should step in and protect the elves it is Sylvanas with the Forsaken.
