Lost a cloak upgrade

Made a stupid mistake just rushing through.

Had 24000 coalescing visions and done one horrfic vision, came out and forgot to hand in quest and then went back in. Now I am permanantly behind.

It’s my mistake, but honestly, what happened to just simply grinding gear and leaving the complexities to simply raid, dungeons , pvp and most importantly your class. The focus away from class design to simply grind xyz to boost your class, so it essentially plays like everything else is just too much now. Really I’m getting so fed up of this game.

I want to play my shaman, but have to just slug it oput on my hunter, because i am not going through essences, traits, necklace and now corrupted gear just to feel like i playing something decent. It really hit home after that mistake from me, that I really do love this game, but cba anymore, it is such a chore. Unlike how it has been in the past. I don’t pay to play anymore, just pay to keep up.

Players don’t have to grind all the stuff in game, but if they don’t it is literally not worth playing, that is how bad it has become. I miss playing alts, but you just can’t do that in this game. I am a casual player, i play a couple hours a day, sometimes more on the weekend. Yet not in any expansion have I failed to have multiple alts to keep the game interesting. Right now I can’t even have one. Simply not enough IRL time to dedicate to gearing one.

It’s a shame really, will stay play here and there, but will hang up any serious play till shadowlands, won’t even pre-order until I see how things are at launch tbh. Won’t make the same mistake I made with BFA.

Congrats though blizz, 8.2 was the worst thing to ever happen to this game, by far. Every major patch is like a reset, yet 8.3 is not really a thing for alts and newcomers. 8.2 is where its at. And boy are you in for a ride.

Game is not fun anymore sorry.

The quests will release weekly and catch up from any you miss the previous week will carry over.

The thing you have to keep doing is earn the currency, which is pretty steep for the first week as you can get up to rank 6, from next week onwards we will only be offered one quest a week.

Thats good to hear, but doesn’t change the fact I may as well pay my boss to work for him. That is WoW now. There is just no fun to it.

I sound pessimistic, but im sure that sentiment is shared by many. I just hope they get it right in SL.

Yeah I wished at least you would get a guaranteed cloak upgrade by paying (with max weekly cap keeping in place), but that it challenged you to go as far as you could, where it ends with out of sanity and port back to collect your box with momentos.

Keep your head up! We are talking about 2 item-level on a single piece of gear. It won’t make that much of a difference.

Cheers

Literally was typing that
It’s not the end of the world, especially if you’re a casual player.

What is casual? Someone who is not in method? For real, we do our best for our classes and push ourselves to the limit. Everyones limit is maybe on a different level, but this word “casual” should get removed from this whole forum.

My mistake was on the quest for the 6th level of the cloak. https://www.wowhead.com/quest=57393/stepping-through-the-darkness#comments
I just went in and killed Thrall as nothing specific was mentioned, but you have to do complete the secondary wing in order to unlock the item for the 6 level. And not just any secondary wing, because if you don’t do the right one it doesn’t count either (I advise you to read the comments on wowhead link ) it is really outrageous.

I lost x2 upgrades, first time combat bug then second time i forgot to take the quest

Funny to hear other stories too. Some much worse!

Why didn’t they put the effort into setting up this system into classes though, they are so stale to play :frowning:

It does since lvl 6 has on use effects, which at high corruption, is rly usefull, and also can be livesaver.

But yeah, weekly locked so you wont fall behind.

I never went to do 6th myself, but I tried to read - with my faulty English, the quest and couldn’t figure it out with 100% certainty what game wants out of me. I think they should have been on point more detailed. And then now on this link from wowhead someone actually explains me what zones mean and are - corrupted, tainted etc. Blizzard may have thought it is soooooo obvious on1 st glance, but it really actually isn’t - least not for me.
