wondering if anyone could help me,
I had some characters on a realm (which i cant remember which realm), but when I went to find them, they are no longer in my character list.
like when i go to change realm the characters im looking for arent displayed in the brackets next to any realms.
I have also checked my account on this and characters are no longer showing and same with armoury, it says there is no characters by that name?
just find it strange how they seem to have vanished into nothing and there is no trace of them.
the characters im interested in was a LVL 110 Dreani Priest called Hurela and a lvl 107 ish human paladin called Elsrea.
this is a recent problem im experiencing and i have logged on them in the last month or so.
just curious as to what could cause this?

There has been some realm mergers that has hidden characters on the realm bracket screen but they will appear if you login onto the realm itself.

If not try clicking on the search button (on the WoW site) and enter the character name.
There is a folder in your WoW folder for every character you have. You can check there which realms you have characters on and log into those realms. You should find you characters somewhere there

Often if you have been away for some time the realm list may not list the number of characters you have on the realms anymore.
Once you login to the realm, the realm list will update to show your character numbers.
As Oryczy mentioned, a good way to find which realm they were on is to check your installation folders as your characters will usually have their own folder for configuration files, listed by realm names
