Not to excuse anything, because it’s unacceptable. The classic team is small (20-30 people or so based on pictures devs have shared of the team).
They’re clearly spread too thin between multiple versions of Classic, and higher ups are expecting way too much from a team this size and making them push stuff out the door. SoD has also had way too many bugs, and it reminds me a lot of some other MMOs that have similar issues due to small team sizes.
I’m sure the team is doing their best, but it’s clear they are being told to do too much with the team size they have. Genuinely, Cataclysm feels like a buggy private server at the moment, it’s pretty horrendous and totally not acceptable for a game with a monthly fee.
its standard for game companies to have multiple testers dedicated solely to testing bugs. i can log in right now and find 30 bugs from 10 mins of playtime, and if i had any expertise in coding i’d fix all of them just as fast. it doesn’t make sense that such an extreme an exp glitch from a major part of the game should slip through the cracks. it doesn’t make sense that basic abilities are still missing after already being reported 3 months ago in beta.
unless there are no bug fixers/testers the only other explanation is that they’re utterly incompetent. ofc they hire the worst out there so they can keep them on minimum pay .
There’s literally Cata private servers out there with 2 Devs that do a much better job than a Billion dollar corporation. Such a joke. I can’t even log in to see the mess they made
