On this character, one of my two main characters made in 2007, I have inexplicably lost skillpoints in both my professions.
The first one I noticed was classic mining, which somehow got down to 299 - which shouldn’t be possible.
But nevermind, I went and got my mining skill point back, no biggie (even if slightly more difficult than I imagined at first).
Then I noticed that my Draenor mining was down to 93! Again, should NOT be possible, since we gained mining skill from our own Garrison mines at the time, and this character was one of my two mains. He most definitely has Draenor mining maxed! But whatever - who really need Draenor mining these days anyways? I figured I’ll go max it up again some time.
Now, however, I am touring to learn the various decor recipes for my engineering, and I only got to Shattrath when it said my skill wasn’t high enough! Turns out my Outland engineering is down to 52?! But HOW?
This is getting tedious, to put it mildly - and meanwhile, I’ve also had to grind my Guild reputaion back up on this character, since that also reset at some point.
Trying to wiggle my way through the support system to actually write a ticket seems impossible, and searching the internet just provides me with tons of questions and solutions about how to restore a profession that you dropped - which is not relevant to me.
What can have happened here, how can it be fixed, and how to make sure it doesn’t keep happening?
