It is CRAZY low fps in the capitol cities Dornogal and also Orgrimmar now, I have about 10-20 FPS in average, so its very hard to do anything, even move. I don’t know why but it seems like there is performance issues all over TWW areas, every region is very unstable. Sometimes it just starts lagging hard for a long while and there is almost never about 45 FPS for me, and I am seriously concidering taking a break allready and see if it gets better later, because this is at a level that ruins the experience for me, and I dont try to run dungeons and delves, nevermind raids with this situation. Now its 05.00 in the morning an 1 hour after the realm restart. And I mean, there is not very much people on, and I see no reason for this to occur. Either they have some really bad hardware issue on the servers or the code is severly broken. I dont understand how this can be missed and not fixed though, because this have been the situation from the start. I had early axcess, and I just tore myself thru the leveling of a couple of charachters and now I am on the third at last. I have never used this long time ever. And I haven’t even started with crafting and such. It is too painful with less than 30 fps, and less than 20 is torture.
I am on gigabit direct fiber, I have a core i9 cpu, some 20+ cores, and rtx 3080 gpu, game sits on a samsung 990 Pro SSD. I have 32gigabyta ram running at 5200… Windows 11. Every possible driver and update in order. Game is also optimized with Nvidia app, newly updated. I am running a few addons like elvui and details and better bags… Running them thru Curseforge app on Overwolf, and automatic update on. Nothing that should explain this low performance. Anyway, this is what I get? I dont think it is our systems at all involved in this problem, and I see there is quite a few forums where this is priority topic, just not here. So I guess they don’t want to aknowledge it and just makes complaints go away magicly. I mean why should it be less people having this problem here than those who comments on other places?
Same thing here while doing quest today:D
Sounds like you have a memory issue to me.
I built this computer about 7 years ago, it’s specs not even worth mentioning. Only thing is that I have a 2080ti, the rest is ancient and I’m about 40-50 fps in Dornogal.
The funny things is I’ve tried to adjust settings to increase fps and I end up around the same fps regardless, but shadows impacts fps quite a lot., so I’d recommend lowering those if not.
Dornogal does seem like a resource hog, but you’re having issues in all TWW areas, so I think there is something going on with your PC. Something isn’t working properly or interfering with your performance on your side.
Multicore CPU’s do little with regards to WoWs performance. That’s why Amd x3d processors do better. And with the i9 having so many cores it already puts you at a disadvantage frames wise. A 5ghz quad core would out perform it
If this is just today, it’s the servers. I have insane Internet and very capable PC that runs it smoothly, but last night the game was hard locking for a few seconds at a time in LFR, world quests (like theatre) and even dungeons. The game world would freeze for a second, then resume.
I am guessing it’s the server load after the reset. Everyone was doing everything. Blizzard rn are likely surprised pikachu and didn’t anticipate the load or just don’t care.
if it was the servers then everyone would have this issue but i guess you monitor everything on internet and your pc constantly.
Not everyone, but those on the same lagging shard or whatever Blizzard calls it these days. There are several similar reports on the US realms, one server even crashed. So yea, it’s the servers.
Yeah I do. First thing I check when there is a problem is my PC and my Internet. Zero issues on my end.
no it isnt the servers because then everyone would have the issue.
have you thought that your pc would draw too much resources to watch the entire internet all the time?
game used to be smooth and optimized.
but its not anymore sincee last expansion.
noticed a MASSIVE fps decrease in every dungeon for no apperent reason. then you enter old dungeons that look GREAT like mist of tirna schithe and everbloom and your pc is just blasting 144+ fps perma.
the game is smooth since it run perfectly fine for me.
but still you are forgetting that even the files on your pc can be corrupted and that there is several hoops between you and blizzard servers.
and your pc is probably expansive and new?
if you need a complete overkill setup to run wow which argueably is LOW tier graphics that used to run great and now runs bad. its not too for out to suggest the game has become less optimized?
Incorrect. Server issues can effect individuals more then others, without any actual reason other then who is the lucky one. Had multiple cases in my guild including me where the exact same setup that ran smoothly for most of TWW till now, all of the sudden started lagging hard from time to time, regardless of graphics settings or nearby player count.
We also had to cancel the raid yesterday early because we simply had multiple members kicked out of the server and were unable to log back in after the blizzard client “updated” their game. I was able to log out, update and log back in no issue, but that wasn’t the case for others.
I heavily suspect the servers to be the cause.
no my pc isnt expansive or new but still it is running the game smooth.
It’s not his problem, I am 99% sure. You sure love Blizzard that much, huh ?
well i guess the definition of “smooth” is very subjective.
if there was server issue then it would affect all on that server.
im talking about the game engine.
nope but i guess you dont know much about pc or internet at all.
try contact your ISP first.
Of course I don’t, my computer engineer degree is just for wall decoration, Mr KnowItAll.
