LOW FPS issues, SLI, DX11 or DX 11 Legacy

Current system is a 3900x, 32gb ram CL17, 2x GTX 1080Ti running on SLI.

Prior to pre-patch I been using DX 11 pre-patch was seeing 150+fps.

Fast forward,
DX12 is 120FPS
DX11 is 60ish FPS
DX11 Legacy s 80-100fps

I tried using /SET GxAllowCachelessShaderMode “0”

Unfortunately, everything remains the same.

srry can’t help you here, 8 days till launch and many many people can’t even play the prepatch. I have 60 fps on dx 11 legacy, 33 on dx 11… like what the hell have you done blizzard.

SLI isn’t actually supported by our games (including WoW), and generally only provides negligible performance benefits (if even that) when it works at all. The mentioned script command is also not advisable - a hotfix a while ago already made this the default setting, meaning the command isn’t necessary anymore.

Beyond that: the system requirements for WoW in patch 10.0 (which effectively is now running on the Dragonflight engine) are a fair bit higher than they were in the previous expansion, so a dip in effective framerate isn’t exactly completely unexpected. With that in mind, we have seen some pretty performance issues that were caused by addons that aren’t suitable for the current version of the game, so clearing those out fully has proven highly effective for a lot of players!
