Blizzard already did something. They created War Mode for all servers. Go back to Stormwind, turn it off, and level in peace.

But what if you have it ON to be able to have some PvP at your own level?

2- Why does blizzard let this happen? Different phases is something already existing in the game. It is possible for them to implement a system where players can only see other players which would count as honorable kill. There is nothing anyone can do to a 120 characther while being lower than 60.

This doesn’t seem either unreasonable or impossible tbh.

Back when i was lvling up this mage, there was this human warrior i think, who camped my corpse and used laugh emotes. Asked a friend to join the fight. He was rogue. Continued killing him and laughing at his corpse. Until the other guy used res sickness and ran away.

You’re complaining about WM working the way WM is supposed to work. This is the price you pay for the bonus you are given. I don’t like being ganked either, that’s why I have it disabled while I’m levelling. I suggest you do too instead of crying about a feature that’s working as intended. If you absolutely cannot live without that bonus, then it’s on your own head.

World PvP is in no way fair, and it never, ever has been. If you want to PvP players of your own level, in a fair environment, then queue up for a BG. It’s very, very simple.

i’m playing in warmode on my paly, i’m too there to the 30% xp buff and i know what waiting me every time i quest in the open world. i have encounter one horde 120 fly by over my head and following my.

i killed a low lvl player once with my rogue just to see how easy it was. i used ambush and poor one died instantly. there wasn’t any feel of accomplishment or good feeling at all, quite the opposite, i felt guilty. that was the last time i killed a trivial enemy player. no challenge? no fun.

Im shocked. I keep war Mode open because I enjoy fighting opponents I can touch. Killing lowbies is something silly. Revenging is also silly. Seriously there is no reason for not having a phasing system where 1-60, 60-80, 80-100 players are in different phases so that there is a chance to defend themselves for players

Also there is phasing for WM and non WM. If you want to add phasing for every 20 levels the world will be empty…

A 10 has no chance against a 60, and to be honest a 50 likely has no chance against a 60 what with heirloom gear. Same for 80/100 and the rest. If you want to use warmode you have to accept it for what it is, open world PvP with little restriction.

Edit: Though I will agree that PvE incentives to use it should be removed, XP bonuses are too valuable to ignore when it can translate to a gain of hours of gametime from 1-120

The 120s aren’t there specifically to camp low levels. They are there to complete a questline that lets them chose to side with the Warchief or Saurfang.

However, ganking has always been part and parcel of PvP servers. WM is now what PvP servers were. It can be very frustrating at times. There is always the option to turn it off in any rest area. Even if you don’t intend to keep it off. PvP servers had no such luxury.

But we were backed by others in our realm having the same PVP server, unlike now they just shard away.

Edit: and back in the days you had your max level ready nearby to fight back or asking help to friends. Nowadays it happens that people might don’t even have WM on on their main and they have to go up to Orgri or SW to activate it, flight back where the campers are and find out they’re gone

The problem is not gang/kill a player, the problem is when you kill someone that is way lower than you. These actions should be punished since there is no honour in killing a 10 lvl lower player.

Far too many care bears. Low level ganking has been a part of wow since vanilla (you actually got punished for it in vanilla) so I don’t see the need to change it. Players have different things they find enjoyable.

Oh and I’ll add that it is now horde duty to gank lower levelled alliance on sight due to the imbalance of the warmode perk. We gotta make sure that 30% isn’t too much of an advantage over our baby hordies levelling up with the measly 10%

no, you do because you cant do anything better.
I’ve played on PvP server and I was ganking highest levels, because you know, I could.
people who gotta “gank” level 20s and one shot it, simply cant do same to 120. easy as that.

Well apperantly there are a lot of losers Who cant do pvp against their own level. I dont do this because I gain nothing and just give a bad taste to my opponent.
