Went to bed woke up and within 8 hours one person has decided to cut the new inscription trinkets by 40k gold! Can someone please explain to me whats the point in trying to make gold if people are just going to ruin the market?

I think what your looking for is how markets work according to the “Law of Supply and Demand”
You may think your product is worth 100k but if someone decides that 60k is enough for him to make a profit, then he is perfectly entitled to sell his product for 60K.
AH prizes are already artificially inflated because of the token system.
Prior to tokens, some of the most expensive item (mounts) were around 500k
Immediately after the token system went live they went to millions.
As predicted the token system has directly caused the markes to inflate.
And the only way people can afford to spend millions of gold is to buy more tokens.
