Which realm/server is the lowest populated by both factions (overall population)? And, enabling WM on will move me on a higher populated shard if i come from a low populates server?
Yes unless you’re on a rp realm
I would use the in game tools that tell you the state of server population Low,Normal,High,Full + also chek on this forum subsection with how many Realms is the realm in question using the Conected Server function.
My best bet would be an RP realm that is in German subsection of the game client.

Outside, you’re automatically sharded to a shared instance with any realm dependent on your War Mode setting to ‘balance’ the amount of players in that zone.
Very flawed system because you’re sharing nodes that can be siphoned away from your realm’s economy making things scarce, and makes hunting rares all that more difficult.
It’s hard to tell which is the least populated server since there isn’t a very reliable way of knowing exact numbers.
According to wowrealmpopulation.com it seems like Auchindoun/Dunemaul/Jaedenar is the least active english EU realm. But again, can’t really say how accurate that data is.
As someone who used census plus,realm pop i would say that back in the day warcraftrealm data was off the corse from those data we use to have.I would argue that wowprogress is a more reliable site to see how active a realm,alliance horde ratio is.
