I’ve just started the Lucid Nightmare puzzles. I’ve got as far as the Bewjewled puzzle in the Temple of AQ. I’ve been mindlessly clicking away at it for over 1 hour and 40 minutes now. At this point I’m sure something is wrong; all comments I’ve seen across the internet have said that people have not had this problem before.
During the AQ puzzle I think I remember just trying to get as many brains as possible in one combo.
But if that was what made me succeed or whether I just hit a “hidden point treshold” I don’t know…
Do not talk about that dreaded place!!! I went insane by the end of it, and I spent less time in it than others. Just over 3 hours it took me xD (A friend took 5).
I did the same as you. I just removed as much as I could, whilst only trying to line the brains up, and I eventually won. I think, if you hit a certain amount of points, it also considers that a “win”.
Has this been altogether, or was this in separate attempts? Because, if I’m not mistaken, as long as you play between 10-30 minutes, you should eventually have built up enough points to win.

Clicking on the Mind Larva will start a JewelCraft minigame: http://imgur.com/LQqe98v
“The key to winning the game, of course, is brains: match five brains in a row to win!”
Note: Even though Blizzard’s article suggests that’s the only way of winning the game, multiple people confirmed winning after playing for a while (10 to 30 minutes). It’s safe to assume that you can also win the minigame by reaching a certain number of points.
After you win the game, a new note will appear next to the Mind Larva: http://imgur.com/BzNYQoD
You are using the mini game in the raid and not your jewel toy version?
I hated the maze too… And a week after, I ran it with a second char just because I felt like it. I think I’m weird.
Oh, and OP: I would try to stop the game ( I think you gotta leave the room for that) and try again. Search for the brains, the more, the better, but it works if you just keep playiing. At least it should. I spent like 15 minutes playing because there were not enough brains for me.
