'Luck' aka Corruption

One of the differences between Asian and Western culture is one believes luck inevitably is the reason behind success or failure, and the other embraces hard work as the ultimate reason for ‘making it.’

WoW has been embracing luck with every new expansion in an attempt to appeal to Asian gamers.

Thing is, the more a game moves towards Asian gamers, the more it moves away from Western Culture minded gamers.

Today we have a game in which near half your damage comes from pure luck (corruption) … That is not fun for me … How about you?

Tbh I’m loving it!

I got mind flay (tentacle) trousers that push my DPS up and even bought myself a gushing wound to help even more

When it comes to raiding, I see players be like:“1/3 of your damage is from IS”. And people feel like that is unfair or like that doesn’t count…But as I see, it doesn’t really matter, if player was given corruption that does 1/3 of his damage or secondary stat that would boos his damage by 1/3. On both cases you are going to hit 99% active time anyway. It is not like with corruption you sit around and do nothing and let corruption do the work.

Except if you screw up your rotation, your damage will suffer a lot if it was only your stats that mattered. I can do 2 autoattack hits and kill an entire pack of mobs as a tank due to twilight devastation.

I dont care about the luck part. My main issue is how strong it is. When an item is 90٪ of your damage and you cant even compete in damage with someone who procs it then the item is op and shouldn’t be in the game.

Source?

Corruption is your typical end of expansion nerf. This time it’s not done as a % nerf to the raid (remember dragon soul 45% nerf?) but instead by increasing player power to absurd levels.

It’s funny that you say this because % stat increases are the best corruptions dps wise for all dps specs except DH, and % stat corruptions still require you to play your rotation properly

Exceptions are TD on tanks, stars on 2 bosses and Ra-Den weapons.

If you can’t see the levels of wrong in this sentence…

I may be too damaged.
