This year’s Luminous Luminaries start tomorrow, Wednesday 13. July and lasts the whole day in Abyssal Depths, Vashj’ir.
As far as I can see there are no collectables or achievements with this event.
You can buy items that gives underwater breathing and increased swimming speed from vendor with the special event currency, and these buffs apparently only lasts 5 days. Also you lose them if you die.
I really like the thought and the execution of these minor events, however I think they lack rewards, thus not making them interesting / worth your time.
I wouldn’t add any specific mounts to them, but atleast some toys or something permanent so it would be worth to attend them.
Hmm, hardly seems worth the journey to go there for this.
Unless the quests / activities there are fun and worth doing in their own right.
Could probably do with some toys or pets as incentive.

I got insta-killed 10 seconds after picking up a Damaged Diving Helmet while reading up on the objective… the circulating Whale Shark caught me by surprise.
