For a few weeks I have been trying to run dungeons, as many of you who enjoy M+ do, I have been an active M+ player since Season 2 BFA and to this day I haven’t had lots of issues regarding low to mid keys.
I will not deny that finding players for a 2 has always been long and tedious but this season 7s to 8s keys have been a nightmare to say the least. I usually find myself listing my key and waiting 30 minutes for a healer and a tank, even DPS are rare to find.
I had asked some friends why and their reply is always the same - these keys are useless, players don’t get good vaults, they don’t get good crests to upgrade their gear hence very few are interested to run these keys.
In my opinion this sentiment of uselessness is bad for the game, as people who started the season ‘“late” - even if it hasn’t been long since the season started - have a rough time enjoying the game or even playing.
I kindly ask you the following questions:
Have you had problems finding people for this particular range of key level? (That is, 7s and 8s)
Would you consider a good idea to make 8s drop higher crest but not max vault?
If your answer is “Yes” to question 1, do you have ideas or suggestions to improve the experience of players in order to increase the number of participation for said keys?
I’m looking forward for your suggestions or replies.
Thanks.
I think the myth track vault being 10 is fine, but they should add the crests from around +7/8 since thats where the peril affix comes into play making it harder.
7 for farming hero gear, 8 should be for higher crests, 9 for myth vault 1/6, 10 for portals and myth vault 2/6. Would make much more sense than the complete nonsense we have now.
In Dragonflight S4 (and S3 adjusted down), +6s dropped top tier crests, and +8s gave mythic vaults.
Effect; easy to make groups.
Conclusion; the game should revert to that.
I mean, gilded crests from 8s is better than now, but I want to see them from 6s like we used to have. It’s not a big ask to request that the goalposts not move, especially when the goalposts were obviously set in a way that made lots of players like the game.
I didn’t realize that honestly.
I think not getting good rewards from two levels and increasing the difficulty by a fair bunch - as 15 second is very punishing in some keys - does not particularly incentivize participation.
This is an interesting suggestion.
I will ask you something, do you think starting to give Hero gear from 6 is too much?
It could make the progression system smoother, something like:
6s and 7s Hero track gear.
8s start dropping crest.
Etc.
Edit: after thinking about my last suggestion, if it would work like I suggested it would make 7s useless. Hmm…
