M+ and bad players

I just got my alt to 60, did all m0 and now jumped into m+ with 183 ilvl as a brewmaster tank.

I started of easy by doing a couple of +2 SD to try and get my legendary.
Usually on my main i push 15 keys as a holy paladin with 1350 Rio atm.

What i really cant get my head around is how people in low keys are completely blind or arrogant.
The ability to adapt and overcome develops at a very young age… yet seeing 3 people getting hit by an AOE that you got 4 seconds to avoid FIVE times in a row in 2 minutes blows my mind… And its not like its a “hard to spot” mechanic… the floor turns into a bright circle under your character…

I would like to gather all these people and make a reality show about their life… cause something is not alright in their brain…

That is precisely why i dont try higher keys at the moment. I do not have a full group of friends to run higher keys and pug players are so bad that it is almost comical.

I had a 208 pug frostmage for my weekly +10, that did 2k dps overall and wanted a “quick relog” before last boss which lasted 6mins, technically ripping the key.

On all my 10+ keys, the dpsers failed Basic boss mechanics, not once but repeatedly, despite being told exactly what should be done, and you start praying for the dungeon to be over, instead of doing it in time.

Pug players are hopelessly bad and leaves me in shock many times.

Exactly what it happened to my just now on a +6 Plaguefall key. Rogue standing and hitting the…limbs in the “poison water” , “stacking” the poison up and died in 2-3 tics, then “heal!!!”.

Same Rogue, at the final boss room, “tanking” that slooooooow skeletons ( or whatever ) …until they got close to him and insta-death and when i told him, he literally said : What are you talking about? This is the first time it happens! No way is true!!

Pathetic run I had, i’m telling you!

Another run from yesterday, the tank at some point in the dungeon ( same +6 , same Plaguefall ), tells me after I told him when he failed some basic mechanics “that’s why i’m here! to learn the mecanics”. I was like WTF? On a +6 key?

Yup … my runs as a healer…

Why do you think that so many people go horde?

I’m literally thinking to do that, but I invested some time in this healer and mage.

But I will, at some point. I played a Shaman in Legion as a Horde. BIG difference I tell you …

Well i was horde in my begening in wow but then i went alliance cus horde was evil in warcraft 1.

Halls of atonement m0, last boss. I was healing on disc priest alt.
The group is me disc priest, prot pala, rogue, ret pala and warlock.
Tank tells everyone to “soak the red beams when the boss starts channeling”.
We pull the boss, its me rogue and tank soaking. 1 beam goes into the statue and ret pala dies. He instantly pulls the oldest trick in the pug books -> alt f4.
We stabilize. Another channel. Again me, tank and rogue soaking. Warlock stands next to me while im playing my keyboard like a Beethoven. 2 messages pop up from the group. “Warlock please soak!”. The troll warlock character panicked, started running around until finally stopped in the same spot as before, ofc not soaking.

Pugs are an adventure man…

Horde is the exact same. You don’t magically get all 200iq pogchamps just because you changed the color of your character’s background. But the grass is always greener as they say, in Uldir my guild had a warrior that was dying every pull and consistently got white parses… But he was ADAMANT his bad raid experiences were solely due to him being Alliance ‘cuz everyone knows Horde racials are better bro. Also you don’t heal me enough bro, you Ally healers don’t know how to heal bro’. He eventually left and faction changed. I’m sure he’s now magically doing orange parses every pull, I mean… It’s Horde bro, raiding’s ez mode on Horde.

But tbh, this really feels worse than anything in Legion or BfA. Personally, I blame the expac attracting boatloads of returning players. You know, the kind that quit in MoP or something but now they’re back. ‘Mythic+ Dungeons you say? So I can get raid gear without coming to raid? Sign me up! Let’s see… let’s do a +6, I can’t be bothered if I don’t get at least a 15ilvl upgrade at the end of it… Okay let’s go… This dungeon is pretty neat, never been here before… Nah mate it’s gonna be fine, I have been playing this game for like ten years… You wouldn’t believe how much Stormstout Brewery I did back in my day! On Heroic no less! Dungeons is ez game bro’

I honestly can’t think of another logical explanation to the sudden retardation of every single person in every single dungeon group.

Lol, horde might have a larger player pool, but the same percentage of people are morons, so it won’t make any difference.

?

You only need 2 to soak it. Stand really close on one side of the boss and you can soak 2 beams. Someone else does the same on the other side of the boss and they can soak 2 beams as well.

That i didnt know. Will try it out, thanks.

You can see how to soak 4 beams with 2 people here when it starts channelling. Provided the timestamp works.

I remember when players were happy to teach and help new players, times has changed so much :d now its embarrassing to be new player.
When new player joins group better stay silent or agree on everything like dont know language. Do you know what to do - yes, whats your name? - yes

I don’t trust Rio if i’m being honest.

Yesterday, i decided on doing an 8 key and i ended up grouping up with a friend and 3 randoms.

ALL with rio below 300. It was almost as solid as you could hope for, with only one or two bad pulls throughout the whole dungeon run.

And i’ve seen the exact opposite as well. High rates and zero skill.

At this point, just find people to play with. Pugs are weird.

Because there’s a timer. You can’t just teach people how to do it. They gotta know before joining. Which is one of the reasons as to why i’m fundamentally against this whole idea for mythic+, but i have to go with it regardless, as the best source of gear.

That’s because of people not leaving when people fail and instead carry them because they just want to do the key, lol. Haven’t really seen many leavers this season so far compared to in season 4. Guess it’s because people just really want the key to be done so it counts to their vaults completed runs.

must agree about that timer, its provides very toxic game play.

you should have seen last week then. SO MANY LEAVERS.

Tyrannical high keys with storming was just too much for a lot of people.

But this week, i only had one case of someone leaving. And to be honest, our tank was unimaginably bad, so i don’t even blame the healer for doing it.

Timestamp doesnt work, at least on the phone it doesnt. The soak is at 4:29:10 ish if someone is interested.

To be fair spell and ground effects are bonkers these days. There’s so much crap on the ground that you sometimes can’t tell if it’s friendly spells or tactics, a trinket effect or any other crap effects. There’s constantly something on the ground and/or around characters, a lot of harmless spell effects also overwrite other minor harmful effects. I can’t play the game anymore without DBM for the sound cues because it’s so easy to miss when a tiny green puddle suddenly spawns among the other 2000 puddles and auras. Gotta have it otherwise I’d probably stand in and soak literally everything.

I don’t have a problem with new players or players learning the game or a particular dungeon. What I have a problem with is:
a) people not disclosing they are learning
b) people unwilling to learn or accept any helpful information at all
c) people using +6 keys on Tyrannical as a tutorial for a dungeon they have never even been in on any difficulty

I’m sorry but those people are just plain rude and wasting my time, and seemingly LFG this expac is 90% these people.
