So… Can we all take a minute to discuss the current m+ scene, and what has to be done to help the lesser wanted classes in m+ ?
Im playing a frost dk, i got hc 4p from aberrus, 428ilvl, i have curve, i got 2.2m+ on main. i got almost bis trinkets. im usually topping dps in 11-16s. Whenever i can get invited!
It is such a hard time for me to get invited to a m+ group because of the current class preference of only wanting spriests, boomies & hunters.
I have so much utility to bring as a frost dk. i got aoe grap, 2 ST graps that can be used as semi interrupts. i got a range interrupt, i have anti magic zone, i have aoe stun, i have aoe blind, i have CR.
Whatever I do, i cannot get invited to a group.
Ive been testing these past few days, and on average it takes me 1-1½ to get into a frekkin +13!
Dragonflight has been great so far, but something needs to happen or wow will end up consisting of 3 classes only, 1 for tank 1 heal and 1 dps cus people only want certain things.
Hey there, I am pugging keys in various levels on healer and tank (mostly between +7 to +18), in total I completed 70keys, if you want to play together a bit - add Gageris#2398 , I think we will find times when we arr both online.
I assure you, it will take much shorter than 1.5hours to get into the key and you will enjoy the game much more when you can actually play it there was another person in similar situation as you, we added each other to friends and sometimes do some keys
As a lone dps in pugs - you are doomed to endlessly sit in LFG, that’s the reality. There is no way around this.
As for classes I invite - Spriests are to good not to invite this season (esp on this bursting week), but other 2 spots are very variable. Though I tend to invite less warriors, hunters and mages.
I don’t pug very often but I have never met a DK in the keys. Even Blood DKs are very rare these days. Everyone is a paladin. The results of BLizzard’s paladin favouritism and paladin bias.
Frost DK needs some huge buffs, both on PvE and PvP.
show us your dks raider io link so we can see what score does it have - score on main is meaningless. and i have this strange suspition that your scoreo n this dk will be around 1k .
also 428 is extremly low at this point of season .
no wonder you are getting contant declines when applying to good groups.

Im top dpsing most dungs at the level i am invited to, im outperforming people with higher gear than me in both raid and m+

sadly there is no reason to invite a dk atm…you will only hear “do your own key/get friends/ a group/guild to do m plus”
ppl think that rio=skill…i have close to 2,6k rio on my main this season and i wont farm more because its pointless and i will declined with my pala tank for +20(just filling vault) for “better” choices.
and on lower keys ppl are even stricter…only if you play heal you can get early in higher keys, because less ppl are playing heal.
You are not alone dude… For me it’s better tho, because at least I get invited to +16, where I carry groups with dps, which is sometimes stressful af, but progressing is hard from there
I think DK is a sleeper class, they got a lot of good stuff, most notably they can grip loose mobs into melee meat grinder (for example these mobs in NL that jumps away and starts throwing discs, it’s sooo good to have DK to grip them back). And their dps is very good.
I am currently seeing multiple dungeons per hour started in the 11-20 range in the no pressure discord. And nobody asks for specific classes
I did a +11 on my 415 fire mage yesterday. Nobody asked questions.
I play a holy priest as my main this season, earlier I applied to a +18 for a key that I’ve done on +18 already and they wouldn’t invite me, they sit and let it run out and then they delist, then I see them listing it again. I can’t be the only healer applying to it and getting declined. I see that key there for 20 minutes, delisting and getting listed over and over and then I see the tank left it and then he delists it and doesn’t list it again.
Like, it’s unlikely I was the only healer applying. What’s more likely is that we were the wrong class or specs as healers, they wanted something more meta.
