The title says it all. Blizzard has the work cut out for them in terms of what needs to be addressed as clear outliers. If you simply go to raiderio and check the timed runs as a graph and select keys 15+ and above, there are 6 clear outliers, no need to specify since everyone knows which ones they are. I do not know if Blizzard has employees in upper management that main these exact classes, but either start bringing the rest up to par with the outliers (optimal solution so that players do not get penalized for balancing failures), or initiate a round of heavy nerfs for these classes. There is no reasoning in the recent balancing notes as well, who in their right mind saw Destruction lock’s damage and thought “Oh yeah this needs to be buffed”, and lets give lock 3 playable specs. This is something that of course will not be addressed at all, but its sad to see 95% of high-end runs being dominated by 5-6 classes. This is not what the game is about.
I would say at this moment +15 keys and above are outliers in the first place. Professionals will always go for the 0.000001% best spec. High end will always have a meta.
the cannot balance thr specs because of defensives.
not like they are good at balancing dmg but in the last seasons dmg was never the defining factor for meta
There will always be a meta. But dont worry. As time passes and people get geared, that meta will move to higher keys (+20 and above) while the rest of us will also move upwards.
Nah… things are relatively fine. There are some DDs which are underperforming, but we are really far from a dominance of only 5 classes. Ahem… Exodia…
Healers in particular are really well balanced between eachother. The only reason Druids are over-represented is because the “meta comp” in high keys needs a CR.
But either way. Things are fine. The only outlier is VDH. Thats it.
For most of us, that can aspire to at best 1 or 2 key levels bellow those dudes… were fine.
