Oh yeah good point, that is something I failed to consider, those would be a bad idea.
Use “Nature’s Vigil” as a druid, you can keep it up 1/3 of the time and do a lot of passive damage by healing. Even overhealing counts actually.
Convoke the Spirits is also nice for this.
that’s no longer how the game is designed unfortunately
I think wotlk is the best experience for the AFK healing if you want
I would get bored if I had nothing to do.
If not healing then why not help damage?
The only time I’m not all out DPSing when there’s no healing needed is if I need to conserve mana.
I’m afraid that’s a Classic thing, because of how mana works there. That said, if you heal as a pally or priest there, you’ll be meleeing for mana or wanding, but that’s a set it and forget it thing.
Doing damage might seem scary as a new healer. But in reality healing stays the same from a +0 to +20 key. My first m+0 on evoker was 40k heals (average full run), where 0 kicks were used, silly pulls and everyone stood in dumb. +10s you do about 30k if everyone’s average skill level for that kinda key. And +20s are usually 30-35k heals with a good group kicking all the major stuff and using cc.
Gear ramps up heals big time and bulk of the trash packs HoTs start of pulls enough. So you have a ton of downtime doing no damage and lose alot of time in the key sp fail more.
Use an addon like clique for mouseover macros, and bind all your heals on to mouse → left/right button, side buttons, middle mouse etc and if you need more just use CTRL with them. 1 to 5 keyboard buttons as damage skills like a normal dps class. Super easy when you get the hang of it to heal and damage.
Uh, that depends so much on the key.
I’ve been doing a few CoS +10-12s on my paladin today and the highest any healer have had is 15k.
