Because they’ve lost data. It’s straight up not possible that there were only some 60 players that got the m+ title in season 1.
No idea. I just wanted to point out, that your use of data wasn’t telling what you said it was.
So people in the thread are also aware, that in this case, the data source seems to be flawed
The current season is super easy, focus on improving instead of whining and asking for baby wheels.
This was the number of M+ runs Season 3, week 7 and the comparison to the other two seasons.
As you can see M+ is doing well.
This is week 8 without the other two for comparison, still going strong.
You are wrong more players have it now then season 1 if you use actual player count not % and we are not talking about the top % title we are talking general playerbase . People are doing more runs fact.
if u have a tank or healer yes. otherwise we wait1hr in queue and log out
learn to read before spewing nonsense
For now it doesn’t seem to be so bad, but i am not try-harding >20 on my dps.
Learn to open your own group instead of sitting in que for 1 hour like a damn clown.
You all want to choose the dungeon you like, click a button and expect every party leader to invite you despite probably other 20 people at the very least in que.
Cause nope, no way i put in the effort. Better to just sit idle and waste an entire hour doing nothing than open a group myself.
And about the “is not the dungeon i need” well tough luck, play to reroll it. I think is way better to just play a random dungeon than it is to sit idle complaining about being idle.
Just do you own key Then. Problem solved.
you could do 20th in the first week of this season, how easy you want it?
getting super fast high end gear and getting mythic raid level tokens for doing ok isnt enough…i go back to my thesis, that ppl just want a chest which they can open at the beginning of an instance (maybe with a 15-25 min channel time depending on the gs ).
You only have to look at the name of the OP to realise that…
main reason is that we have very very few "crazy overlaps " of mechanics compared to S1 and S2 - because all old dungeons were made not solely for MDI and you can see and feel that.
most of time you have 1 important mechanics to be aware of. maybe 2 max .
its pretty obvious that people really really prefer this design .
imo if not for MDI which have been cancer to wow like mythic raiding game would be much more enjoyable in past decade.
S3 is best proof of this
I think a significant amount players just want to do their weekly 20 for the Vault and with this in mind a lot of group leaders in the tool are too hung up on raider io score and item level.
You don’t need a single meta class and / or a very high item level in a +11 or +15 key to grind out some upgrade materials. But i still see group leaders being picky about it and decline people although they were / are completly viable.
The other day i had a group leader waiting for 470 + item level to run a atal dazar +11. Why? Just to be a minute faster? to have less of an risk that the key gets bricked? Come on!
I can see the arguement for a +24 and above because it is “harder” to get there, but being picky for key levels below 20 is just ridiculous.
If you are scared of failing your +11 key then there is definitly something else wrong.
Yes, i am a healer and i have a easier time finding groups but i also run my own keys and while forming groups, i am not really paying too much attention on the metrics. Espacially on key levels below 20s.
I think if people loosen up a little on the metrics and pay more attention to their own game and mistakes they do / did then M+ will be a much better place to play in.

if u have a tank or healer yes. otherwise we wait1hr in queue and log out
push your own keys.
thats what i do and it rarely takes me more then 3-5 minutes to fill my groups with 2700+ 485+ people
there is still a lot of premades farming GV / crests in +18 atm . use it.

not really. good players are long done with farming wyrm crest.
so you are much more likely to get bad players famring wyrm to push their gear to 480 in esperate try to get into +17/18 groups.
with ability to downgrade aspect crests to wyrm good players have absolutely 0 reason to do anyting below 17 which is cutt off for hero gear dropping from bosses.

Make friends (build a social M+ network), join a guild that does M+, join a Discord community that focuses on M+ and raiding.
These options are all better than PUGing and getting frustrated every time you attempt to get some keys done.

How do you know if someone is good or bad based on the raider io score and item level if there are boosting services around?
Those metrics mean nothing in +20s or below. In fact this druid did his first 20 in time with 455 item level, a score waay below 2k and in a pug group. I also got to talk to one player who got boosted and also played with him. Horrible, absolutly horrible.
I don’t spend a single minute researching / checking the players signing up for my keys. I am paying more attention on group comp and not having 3 hunters or druids in my group.
Raider IO score is essentially Achievement points and i am sure you know how much achievements mean in this format.

Participation in M+ is so bad I had to stop playing my pure dps classes.
Things were never this bad in any season…
please make M+ easier so that more people can play/complete it.
I don’t think but if it’s true i understand this because it’s the last "new"content we get for this expansion.
Next season is just FATED season but it will be called in different way
I enjoyed s1 the most i will say
It is not participation, it is the elitist and narcisstic community there.
Nobody queues for your key if you are low score or you didnt connect your high score main in rio. People think low score always equals to bad, unexperienced player and filter for higher score leads and keys to avoid this circumstance. You can queue with your 2k io on 20s and have empty queue, while queueing the same key on your 3k or 3.6k and have full queue.
M+ should have MMR, specific for each dungeon and an automated queue system that puts together groups that fit (i.e. 1 BL, 1-2 BR) for the average key size of the current scaling, currently like +2-22 I would say. The more this system could improve the more the possibility rises to implement it for all key sizes. Also, I mentioned the border at 22, but with open border there wouldnt be much change because the system would be self-limiting if it isnt making good enough groups for a certain key level border and also it would favor the MMR of meta classes. So maybe throw the 22 limitation over board and just implement MMR for all keys. Meta classes will have a higher percentage chance to complete key successfully so they will automatically rank higher.
Also the follower dungeons that are coming, are nothing very great. GW1 had this already in 2005 with a particular good implementation and moreso in GW:NF later. If they would invest some programming into it, they could easily make AI worthy of playing keys until unlimited.
