M+ issues are sad

The way m+ works right now I just am not interested in engaging with it at all, wether its as tank, dps or healer
Making it easier wont change that as my issues with m+ are not the difficulty (which would be silly as it is a scaling difficulty)

Just.Use.Your.Own.Key

I dont think it’s ever been easier tbh o.o

And as for the argument “meh meh meh it’s hard to get into groups” do your own key… i started gearing this char last week… did my own keys… worked great

i still remember 18-20 keys in legion early seasons being rank 1 dh tank. it was way harder scaling. Back then tanks also just got introduced to more selfheal instead of requiring external heal, thats why DK was best - and also because hpal was stronger and dk was needed for br

ehm… Rank 1 DH tank? on what? there were no rankings, RIO wasn’t a thing till like 7.2

And all this, without getting Legion Keymaster?

So you were rank 1, on a ladder that didn’t exist, without doing all the dungeons that launched with Legion?

I call BS, my monk wasn’t linked to my main most of last week, and still managed to get everything on +20 done.
The only keys where I pulled in more friends than the hunter that was gearing with me and not linked to main either because of a name change was like the 22 and 24.

You know you can get more info than just a score from RIO right? Like amount of keys done at certain levels, how many timed keys…

Hmm, usually only took a few minutes to form a group on my monk…
But you keep signing up to keys where there are 30 other dps signing up, all with better RIO and ilvl than you.

None claims rio to be the best thing ever after sliced bread. Yet what other option you got when for example 50 players signs up? Invite based on name? Transmog?

Even a crooked ruler is better than… :game_die:?

That won’t be solved by making M+ easier. There’ simply too many people DPSing.

For a start remove the boosting services and it could actually have a higher value than it has now. But that’s not going to happen because the demand for it is there and players pay the gold to get it.

The community just need to chill and ignore those metrics on lower key levels. There is nothing to lose on a +15 key or even a +17…

How do you remove boosting? Put a GM to monitor every run? If you do bellow 75% dps parse = omgez boosting?
Like you said it yourself if there is demand then there will be a supply… one way or another.

Again, you didnt answer my question. I got 50…ok even 10 singups, I cant take everyone with me so how will chose?
Its a natural human reflex to choose the “best option available”. If I see a 3.0k rio mage, why should I decline him in favor to a 1.1k mage for example?

That might help in theory but would be impossible to realise I think. Unless everyone could only sign up individually, and Blizzard takes care of the matchmaking, which would be a complex puzzle, and would crap on those who like to play with their friends. And then I have no doubt some smart people would figure out how to cheese it

mdi was a thing and i had another account back then which i deleted with bfa because i focused on RL phd degree and had to make a cut

I wish i had an idea that could replace this system. Even if i had one, the new system, just like any other, has flaws and downsides to it. It basically boils down to the community to chill out and not only accept the highest score / gear.

Over the whole expansion i met enough lower scored and geared players that timed keys just fine by simply playing the mechanics “clean”.

EDIT:

What is holding you back inviting a 1K rio and 460 item lvl mage as soon as it’s signing up for it?
The chance that someone with a higher score and itemlvl will sign up eventually, which means you simply wait until it happens.

While there are obviously examples, in general people with more experience are doing better. I really do not have yet encountered any problem with someone who absolutely had no idea what was going on, so i am not sure how big the boosted problem is.

You do not really need to wait for people with overgeared score/ilvl. It isn’t about ‘eventually’ or waiting ‘till it happens’. It happens in your first 10 seconds multiple times when you list your key.

As have I. I’ve timed a +18 everbloom with a 442 tank who (got oneshot a few times and needed spamheal) but was in general competent. I’d still pick a better geared one if given the chance but at 3 AM his was the only +18 EB listed.
Which is kind of the point. People always play the game in the most efficient way that’s accessible to them. This isn’t elitism or toxicity, just common sense.

Huh?

My druid isn’t connected to my priest that is at 2.9k. I get invited to keys when pugging as dps(as feral) and people apply to keys that I put up in LFG as well.

Likewise, my paladin wasn’t connected until recently, still got groups on it as ret.

Why would a tank or healer use that over manual creation of groups that will have better success rates?

Funny, since there was 1 DH tank during the first MDI, 1 year after launch, and he still played in SL.

Yes i do know that but i don’t bother spending time to check on players. I may do it once i reach higher key levels but for now it’s just not necessary.

Funny how all this supposed top tier player always used to play on another account “back then”.

Give a fat sack like they do for LFR and LFD. Except have it contain a currency they can use to buy gear.

Heh?

The only upgrades I can get are from the vault or mythic raiding(+vault). And I doubt they’re gonna give us a currency to buy that kind of gear from queuing into matchmade content.
