Prob same thing as if you left. You get the leave flag (dunno if one leave is enough, or is the percentage).
It is part of the system, since you cannot filter dcs without also leaving a backdoor for leavers to just âself dcâ.
It is as Razgard said, it is likely they will apply equally to all - just like the PVP system did that many players wanted and now see it hits everyone, just as equally even themselves. We still see sometimes complaint threads pop up here and there about it.
AFAIK you donât get the leaver flag immediately on the first infraction. So if youâre a fair player and you only DC once a week or so, there shouldnât be a problem. But if you DC every hour, then I guess you will get flagged.
Well, if you dc from rated game like happen to me today you lose -150 rating, and the game still has this ancient mind control bug that mc can dc you. The game has no d/c protection, I lose days worth of playing if such happens to me in rated.
Make alythena great again
Pretty hard to do anything about that though, how do you introduce dc protection for rated pvp or m+. People would just pull the plug when about to wipe etc if something like such enabled them something. I remember some games made the target immortal for 10 sec when people would dc but obviously people also abused that so. I dont know how could make dc safe rated system.
You cannot.
There is no way to differentiate a random dc, from a player created one (player shutting his net). If you leave any âloopholeâ that gives an advantage to players that dc, then you make it so that players need to perform a dc when they are losing.
Itâs like this on every other game that has a âcompetitive modeâ.
Fair? 50/50 but there is no way to detect if a dc is real or intentional.
Yes, agree. Sadly they left loophole on rated soloqs by letting people decline ques with no penalty though so people get to choose which game they would wish to join and other benefits they abuse with it. But d/c will net them penalty.

What loophole happens in soloqueue? Why is it bad for someone to decline the queue?
(asking seriously, since I do not pvp)
Que syncing, having groups of people in modes which literally reads âsoloâ. Same as random battlegrounds when you have 40 man premade there.

I still do not get it⌠Explain to me like iâm 5 please.
How does the outcome of the battle gets affected if one person declines a queue?

If you can choose the game you join, google the terms que syncing if not familiar with it. In arena if you dont join the game that you signed for you get rating loss, in rated shuffle/blitz people are allowed for some reason drop as many ques they wish as the game gives no penalty for not joining games. This has been confusing me for +3 years now since soloqs were put in game. D/Câs are minor annoyance compared to the abuse people do with this loophole to decline ques into rated games.
Its off topic for dc related so wont go further on the matter. But youre supposed to have 5man groups in random bg. Not 40man premades in discord. Just like youre only allowed to que duo into blitz or solo into shuffle, and not have 3 duo groups in same blitz who are in discord or 3 people in same shuffle who are in discord.

TBH this sounds like a problem from blizzardâs side.
Declining a queue for whatever reason seems fine. If they have a problem with queue syncing (googled and got the gist of it), then the solution is to stagger the queue pop ups, so that people cannot really figure it out.
By staggering I mean to dedicate the first 10-30 seconds of a queue as âunskippableâ for the game, but only send the queue pop on the players in random intervals on those 10-30 seconds.
Well, even unrated skirmish puts cumulative penalty on account if one misses their que. Baffles me why rated soloqs has none when rated is the one which will be then abused and people even make living by boosting there. You can imagine the outcome if 2/3 games becomes infested with wintraders in rated which it sorta already has been for this week. D/C was the smallest inconvenience this week when I have to look these heal+dps duos afking in 2/3 games I join after witnessing dozen declines in ques.

It really isnt . You make a pre made .in blitz bg you are not allowed to do that .so if you see through an addon that all your pre made members have made it on one team you go ahead and accept queue .else you decline it .
Which results in one sided matches and cheating .
This is the most simplified explaination i can make .

But they should have protections in place when their own servers or battle.net goes down .in that case they already know that the messed up happen on their end and not on player side .
Agree, but dont know if easy to make.

seems hella inconvenient
Itâs not, if you disconnect ten times in a week then you should check your internet connection
