Ok. So this is a sad day for me.
I’m the runner of a small community based around Keys for inexperienced players and players with anxiety. The community has been running well since BfA. Until now.
With the introduction of delves and the tuning of M+ difficulty, things are pretty dead.
I’ve made the decision to stick out the game until the 20th Anny event (want the mog), but after that, I’ll be unsubbing if something doesn’t change by then. Now, I know no one cares. But it’s something I’ve been talking about with my community friends so I figured I’d just do my due diligence and let Blizz know in the only way I can before I do pull the plug.
I know they dropped a bunch of changes last night - Gilded at +8, and some targeted nerfs. But I think it’s to little to late. I agree that season 4 of DF was way to easy, but as usual, Blizz have swung the pendulum to far in the other direction. Here’s the things that have just kinda strangled the life out of the game for me and my friends:
Staggered launch
Unfun/unbalanced hero talents
Buggy encounters
Tank Nerfs
Kick/stop Nerf
trash mechanics
+7 Affix
Tyran/Fort combo at +10s
Some relatively insane M+ Bosses
Myth track placement
Crest placement and acquisition
Delves offering a way better reward structure for way less effort/time
Now a lot of these are fine in and of themselves, but all together? Oof!
Keys may have been to easy previously, but at least they felt fun. Now? Frustrating to get a group together, even with a community, and often just a frustrating waste of time with little to no rewards at the level most can achieve.
Anyway, again, this is not meant as a whine post that the “just Gitgud!” bois s#!t all over (they will regardless), but how a combination of changes are ruining the game for some of us that take it less seriously who feel like our particular preferred content is squeezing us out.
