M+ System completely bricked

Current abandon system is utter garbage. You join a premade of 2 people and things go downhill. So what happens is they refuse to abandon when wiping on the same spot over and over and you end up being a hostage in a key? What a joke of a system.

I’ve seen it work the other way aswell.

A player who wants to run a key, and the rest of the players wanting to abandon.

The system does what it’s supposed to do.

When you join a group, you should expect to be there until the end if the rest of the group wanted to complete it.

You will not be marked as ‘deserter’ after you leave the key just once.

The system is targeted more to people who would leave a key on purpose many times repeatedly in a row.

What makes you think OP doesn’t?

I do respect and appreciate your input. However i don’t “expect to be there till the end” since its a waste of time. Key is over. Also whenever you do a key thats higher than a +10 (grants highest gear rewards) if you are depleting, its literally a waste to even continue once its over.

Then maybe talk to the group before hand, set your expectations and see whether they’re happy to continue with you.

That way you’re not letting yourself, or anyone else down.

Never really thought that people join a key with the purpose of just leaving it lol. But i guess it does make sense when you put it like that

Then discuss this thing before joining a group for god’s sake.

If you intend yourself not to continue with a dungeon (completion) after the timer’s out, well that’s your decission.

But inform the group leader about your intention and don’t blame the system.

There are people who awaits clear run 0 deaths, no time lost … and some of those people would leave a key even after one wipe

Respectfully i disagree with you. As mentioned above, once you join a key for score (above a +10) the group kinda expects to time it. So not timing the key is waste of everyone’s time, since the goal of the whole m+ idea is to beat the timer. Also on a side note, blizzard should remove rewards for depleted keys( 0 score and 0 items from chest and no contribution to the great vault). Stuff is being given away WAY too easy nowadays to people that don’t deserve it.

p.s. (kinda went off topic but yea)

This is I see as a stupid move … even if you wouldn’t get score it would still count towards your weekly vault. And many people care about it to be able get gear.

Also, no reward for depleted key would just make people less interested in m+ scene (this was kinda situation in the past, where you would get weekly reward only for timed key).

Again - if your intention is to leave the key once you’re sure it’s not timed, discuss this with the group/group leader prior to start of a key.

“Ehm… hi guys, once sh*t goes downhill imma peace out”
I’ve already told a couple of groups/leaders that if we aren’t timing this we should abandon BEFORE starting the key(which they agree to). However 2 people still got held hostage, since the PREMADE wanted to FINISH FOR WEEKLY.

Not really off topic, you’re putting forward yours thoughts on the topic.

But if you were correct, then why wouldn’t everyone vote to abandon?

Are you sure that there isn’t a reason why someone wouldn’t want to abandon it?

Maybe they want to see the whole dungeon through at that level so they can be prepared for the next attempt? I’m just speculating a reason.

Im all for “being prepared for next attempt”, however that next attempt would be with someone else, so if you want to put it that way, that person who doesn’t want to abandon is literally wasting YOUR time for HIS OWN sake. The system itself is catering towards CASUAL players whilst COMPLETELY disregarding the rest of the players.

Also the reason is FREE ITEMS for people that deplete keys. Over 90% of the people playing the game don’t care about “being prepared” or improving, when you can just go in the dungeon and faceroll 2 hours in a +10 and get max ilvl gear for literally no effort skill or knowledge whatsoever.

But you are wasting his time by wanting to leave, so it works both ways.

I get that aswell, as I said, I was only speculating.

No, because as I said, I have seen it work the other way, where 4 people wanted to abandon and 1 didn’t.

The system caters to group expectation and hold players responsible for taking part in group content.

You know have to be a little bit more invested in the people you group with. And remember that the noob belf hunter who ninja pulled and wiped the party is an IRL person.

Dumbest argument ever. However, respectfully, if the key being depleted is a time waste, i am actually SAVING that person some time.

He can still get his weekly and get experience; if you leave, you rob him of that.

If you want to do weekly, the keys that you complete overtime should give 0 score, that way people know what they are getting themselves into when joining your 2 hours +10 key. Thats why we have score to sort out people that CAN and CANT.

Also blizzard creates a competetive enviroment in the face of m+( score based system), so you’d expect people to be competetive also. If you dont want to do that just give everyone free gear and let m+ be a system on its own without any rewards besides score and prestige.

It literally is a system that doesn’t give anything past +10.
