Just did +14 sanguine depths and out tank didn’t need to kite that much. Only on some packs a little. Maybe it’s easy week or sanguine is an easy dungeon? I wouldn’t know, I only do one or two runs a week.
It’s not fort week, and kiting kinda becomes mandatory only when you’re undergeared compared to the content. A 210+ tank at +14 won’t need to kite half as much as a 184 tank at the same level, or a 226 tank at +22.

Ah yes. When you died from bolstering and bleeds, quickly running back hoping to regroup with everyone only to see DPS pulling the whole mass back towards you while healer has no mana and your cd’s aren’t ready.

Does he use them? Nope, never.
Just be DH with insanely high mobility to run. EASY.
Might have been waiting for the tank to hit a certain number of Necrotic stacks and it didn’t happen. Or waited for the tank to start kiting to drop stacks and it didn’t happen. Or waited for the tank to signal when they want the treants.
Best use of that ability requires actual communication, ideally on voip. It is not unlike an external defensive for a tank - sure, I can give you Ironbark or whatever off cooldown, but that will kill you when you need it and it’s on cd - and you should know when you need it, I’m not psychic and I don’t know the state of your own defensive cds.
In a pug, I either don’t talent for treants at all (because it is a huge dps loss over Nature’s Balance allowing you to instantly Starfall at the beginning of every pull and Night Fae druids need every advantage to do competitive AOE), or if I do, it’s only on Necrotic weeks and I use it a couple seconds into every pull. But that is not the optimal use and I can’t blame people getting analysis paralysis trying to figure out the optimal use.
