this week some new dungeon “fixes” came in and made some things better, some things worse and also ignored a few things.
First off this weeks affix has alot of issues.
Either bad spawning on bosses with adds like in siege of boralus first boss, where adds are spawning based on the % health of the boss and if you have a bad overlap with the affix, you instant have up to 3 buffs/debuffs on the boss that increase the dmg by up to 30%.
It also already happend for me in a Siege of Boralus 11 that the first boss got ninja pulled by affix without anyone being near it or bodypulling it or anything.
Another thing about Siege of Boralus this week is, that the first part of the Dungeon has some Mobs in it, they are called: “Blacktar Bomber” they have a 2sec cast that is called: “Fire Bomb”.
They perma cast that ability, so the issue here is last week it had a modifier of 0.01 (for reasons unknown) and that got removed, so now if you have 2 or 3 in a pull they perma cast an ability with 2 sec casttime that random targets players and hits them on a +10 SoB for nearly 1.3million dmg.
So if you calculate that, if one player gets targeted by 2 Firebomb abilities + the ability of a: “Scrimshaw Enforcer” that does an AoE ability called: “Shattering Bellow” that does like 3.2 - 3.6m dmg on a +10 and they dont have a deff cd that reduces the dmg so they live with 5-10% health(or even less) they are instant dead.
I dont feel like this is the right choice for an M+ envoirment that should be challenging, but it shouldnt be impossible.
That also adds up to the fact that you get a 15 sec penalty for each Death you have.
But there is not only bad stuff some changes are good and i dont wanna hate on anything here.
I just think that some stuff is either really badly balanced or to fast released or bugged.
This weeks new affix kinda needs a rework imo.
I dont rly have an idea what to do with it, i find the idea good in general, but in specific envoirments its just very very bad design.
I dont wanna be gated a whole week only because of bad design on an affix.
I also had one situation in siege of boralus, where the affix spawned after first boss and we could soak 7 buffs, the enemy got zero and 3 orbs have just disappeared ( i assumed they spawned inside the house or something like this).
I also played Dawnbreaker on 10 and had zero issues there and a Ara-Kara on 9 and also no issues there.
Thats what i ment with that its not always bad.
