No. Tah just asks for long progression that’ll keep him playing. He’s almost capped on gear with what the system allows him to be because that’s the design. I don’t remember the guy asking for mythic gear, just progression. Grinds, I guess.
While I wont disagree about delve 8 difficulty. Feels like we are comparing apples to oranges at this point. Delves where designed to take into account solo play, meaning that a player can bring any class/spec and still be able to do it(otherwise, imagine the riots if there was a Delve tier list where only specific classes could solo it).
While M+ is a group content. Your weakness can be complimented with other player’s strength. The success of the group depends more on group synchronicity than personal skill(again in general and on an even playground. Not talking about extreme examples of a 630+ carrying a 577 group in a +2 and etc).
In the same mindset, I would be interested to see statistics on people running more than lvl 8 delves. It’s basically not giving anything better than a 8, so in a way there is no real point to push to 11.
For M+, I see multiple groups available. The bigger problem I feel is the gap between +2/3 and +8. It’s way more difficult to PUG a +5 because there is less groups from my feeling on the past 2 days.
Maybe it would be a good idea to review the keystone principle, blocking you to a +x and a specific dungeon is, from my pov, a bottleneck for a lot of people. If you were able to set your key as you wished, it would help to increase group availability between the range I mentioned.
To be honest I miss the old 2-10 M+ difficulty range bracket. I like M+ but I don’t like to struggle finding groups and I don’t like to sweat. I enjoyed playing multiple alts in lower brackets, taking my time to learn dungeons and slowly make the keystone master on my main.
Then I don’t do M+ anymore.
It would prob be more if Brann was more consistent and a bit more … well … reflecting the player’s playstyle. E.g. in Fungal Folly, he constantly stands in those Fungal Explosions and takes significant damages from it (including the dot afterwards). The chance that he dies at level 11 is almost bigger than that you die, as he refuses to heal himself even though he has the healing role nor do those potions heal him.
Then, there are times where he refuses to toss those potions on the ground even though the previous batch disappeared and it’s been close to a minute later, while he usually tosses them as soon as the previous batch’ timer runs out (regardless of whether they were used).
It’s just fighting more than just the mechanics, it’s fighting random behaviour of Brann → extremely frustrating.
I like to work up to the higher keys through the lower ones. Before the change i would run +2 or +3 for each dungeon, then go to +5s for each then work up from there. That way i knew the mechanics and didn’t screw up anyones key.
I main a healer so it was nice to learn damage patterns. I don’t learn well from you tube videos, i need to experience the instance to remember it.
I did go as far as getting the mount in s4 df, but only because i knew the instances from earlier seasons. This time around I haven’t yet bothered to look for groups.
For me it has nothing to do with delves (which I enjoy solo either as prot on my normally holy pala or as shadow on my priest) and everything to do with the changes in m+ scaling and removing the learning keys.
I am a healer, and I could prolly tank it as well. But the content is not appealing for me since I hate the rushing.
I would join as a healer if it was autoqueue, since I hate the toxic behaviour when pugging.
I would join as a healer if m+ changed to challenging content with mechanics instead of rushing. And with no bull like depleting keys. And if someone leaves you can finish by getting a new player. I don’t mind wiping a couple of times.
