M2 SSD World of Warcraft

Hello. Im planning to buy Ssd m2 256 or 512GB to run wow more smoothly.
Im total noob in this case and I dont know what do i need to do after i buy it and install it on my motherboard?!

I found some posts where ppl says its enough to transfer wow folder and it will run easily.
Do i have to install windows on SSD or it runs same as some kind of USB?

And is it enough to have 256GB as i plan to have both WoW files retail and classic?

What’s your current drive setup…?

I dont have any kind of SSD. Im using regular HDD.

Same here - getting a 512gb m.2 drive purely for WoW and D3. Everything else on traditional HDD, I can tolerate slightly slower bootup

Yeah I plan to put only WoW and maaaybe csgo on SSD… Main focus is on wow which is with 50addons and 50 weak auras pretty slow on booting. So i dont need windows installed on ssd unless i want pc booting faster?

honestly don’t know how programs installed on an ssd will behave if windows is on a hard drive. but don’t do that, put windows on the ssd. it makes the system in general behave much, much better. not just boot times.

also, you’re using a hard drive, which makes me think your computer is probably old. do you know if you have an m.2 slot on your motherboard? what about the keying and length? does it support pci-e, sata or both? you can just buy a regular 2.5" sata ssd instead.

Copy wow to ssd, uninstall it, isntall bnet again and show him yuor copied wow location. gege
