Mac m1 freezes while playing wow and forcing shut down

Hello,

I’m writing to seek assistance with a recurring issue involving my M1 Mac randomly shutting down while I’m playing World of Warcraft, specifically during dungeons or raids. This behavior is confined to these scenarios and doesn’t happen during general computing tasks. The sudden shutdowns have caused multiple high-level keys and raid runs to be lost. Typically, I can complete one key without incident, but the next encounter triggers a forced shutdown. I’ve ensured that my Mac doesn’t overheat or reach peak memory usage, which could potentially trigger this behavior. Any insights into resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated as it’s becoming increasingly frustrating. My Mac specifications are as follows:

Apple M1 Pro, 16 GB RAM, macOS Sonoma 14.1.2

Please advise on any potential solutions or troubleshooting steps I can take to address this issue.

Hey, I am having the same problem. I have M1 Mac. I reinstalled everything a few days ago. Everything went smooth. But now when I log in to the game after like 3 minutes WoW freezes. My second monitor freezes aswell and my Mac is forced to restart.
